Funny Girl Margaret Cho

Comedy pushes limits. That’s why Margaret Cho is your pusher woman. She represents her hometown San Francisco beautifully. What a beautiful city and woman. Let’s celebrate Cho because that’s what we do here.
Too many celebrities get chopped up and spit out for no reason. I prefer celebrities like Margaret because she speaks her mind freely. Should we start punishing people based on their life’s perspectives?
The Korean American comedian is very vocal about change and social issues. Some will take what she said and twist it in a knot. That’s wrong. Although there’s a price to fame, it shouldn’t cost everything.
You see Cho can be extreme like Russell Brand. As a standup comedian, her comedy compares with Amy Schumer. And the comedic actress plays great supporting parts too.
Picture Margaret Cho and Ken Jeong in a movie head-to-head. Margaret Cho gets recognized because she developed her talent. Who watched Cho on the View? Her and Whoopi have awesome chemistry. You can’t fake it.

Plus Margaret Cho’s brand is built to last. Can you believe she’s 47? Her face doesn’t look a day over 35. I admire celebrities that extend their time in showbiz.
Hollywood and entertainment are the most superficial businesses. You gotta constantly prove yourself in order to make it. The funny girl has done just that.
Whether through music, on TV, or in movies, Margaret Cho’s name rings your bell. Does she have poise and grace or what? Yet her filthy mouth barks attention. I would love to see her live in person.
Funny Girl is a 1968 musical film starring Barbra Streisand. Funny girl Margaret Cho creates throwback material by paying homage to Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor. She is a true comedian who breaks through glass ceilings.
What is more, we appreciate Margaret Cho for entertaining us and rocking the microphone for all these years.

Why Kimora Lee Simmons Is Exceptional

BY: GURU JAY
I’m not a reality TV fan, although I’m fascinated with some reality TV stars. I don’t watch Keeping Up with the Karsashians, but I enjoy gazing at Kim Kardashian’sTwitter and Instagram selfies. I’m busy Keeping Up with Myself.
Still, I realize many of my fans love reality TV shows and some hate them with a passion. I know hate is a strong word that’s why I used it. I got to get paid. That’s the reason why you won’t find many reality TV stories.
I believe the majority of reality shows are a waste of time. However, there are exceptions. I make an exception for documentaries because knowledge is power.
Are there guilty pleasures? Yes, people like certain shit for a variety of reasons. Nowadays, no one doesn’t have an opinion. Everybody has a problem. I have a solution.

I make an exception for Kimora Lee Simmons. I used to watch Simmons for entertainment purposes and enlightenment. Kimora was an important brand ambassador for Russell Simmons’ empire.

What is more, Kimora built her own trademarked products while helping Russell prosper. That’s why they’re still on good terms today despite their divorce. They nipped it in the bud by becoming best buds. Both parties are happy now. Simmons makes you smile after a hard day of work because she loves life.
Kimora Lee Simmons is one of the finest fashion models ever in the entertainment business. The biracial celebrity is an exotic beauty with Korean heritage. Lee’s modeling success is well documented. Plus, Lee’s business acumen has been validated.
The celebrity deserves credit for Phat Farm and Baby Phat, especially. I believe Kimora Lee Simmons is a brand name because she’s the one and only. Is she on Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum’s level? You could build a case for that.

Kimora can work well in front of the cameras and behind the scenes. Fashion designers equally admire Lee’s fashion and business sense. Here’s a gal who struts her stuff and knows her stuff too.

Celebrating Beautiful Asian Actresses: Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, and Maggie Q

BY: GURU JAY

Critics consider Lucy Liu to be the best Asian actress. The Charlie’s Angels star proves she belongs in the top actress conversation by demonstrating her incredible talent. In addition, her Kill Bill performances are memorable because you hardly ever see the Asian actress play villainous.
How many times must I mention that I love Lucy for you to believe me? I believe Lucy Liu inspires millions of aspiring actresses regardless of race. Also, the lovely actress has played in numerous mega budget movies.
That’s why we are familiar with her face.

And the world recognizes her star power. In a sense, Lucy Liu is symbolic. She represents noble ideas such as tranquility and patience.

I used to watch Grey’s Anatomy sometimes because of Sandra Oh. I thought, “There goes a woman with beauty and brains.” For a long time, she was the most prominent Asian actress on network TV.
Although, her character is off the air, Sandra Oh stays on our minds. Sandra strived to give fans a realistic perception of Asian women.
Again, I was never a Grey’s Anatomy fanatic. Though, I remember encountering a variety of fanatics in college. Picture 30+ 18- 21 year-olds crowded around a TV set watching a dramatic TV show about doctors. Sandra Oh helped create those super fans.

Maggie Q kicked ass on Nikita. She was unbelievable at times. If Nikita were on ABC, NBC, or cable, then it probably would have lasted 4 more seasons. I wouldn’t have let the gorgeous Maggie Q’s beauty go to waste.
Who is better than Maggie as the slender body lead character? Did you know she started modeling in 1996? Jackie Chan discovered Maggie Q around this time. Remember, “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.”
Finally, at Guru Jay we celebrate Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, and Maggie Q for their excellence.

The Interview Movie Review SPOILER ALERT

BY: GURU JAY

The Interview came out on Christmas Day. There are multiple ways you can still view it. It has good acting and jokes abound.
SPOILER ALERT
Hollywood stars Seth Rogen and James Franco shine in the comedy. Give credit to Randall Park for a job well done. My favorite scene is when the Supreme Leader (Park) and Dave Skylark (Franco) hangout. The tiger part with Aaron Rapoport (Rogan) was funny too.
It gets crazy near the end. Rapoport tries to stop a Korean cameraman from shutting down the broadcast. And, the man starts biting off Rapoport’s fingers. Then, Rapoport retaliates.
I told you it was crazy. The film reminds me a lot of Pineapple Express. You can’t buy the chemistry between Seth and James.
Lizzy Caplan and Diana Bang add value to the Interviewcast as well. I would like to see more of their work. Both actresses have a bright future.
If Seth Rogen is a creative genius, then director Evan Goldberg is a mastermind. It is a nice collaboration. And, it’s worth watching.
If you want a shameful laugh, go see The Interview. This movie is twisted. Overall, it’s a fine production if you’re into spoofs.
I give The Interview starring James Franco and Seth Rogan a busy B. The over-the-top comedy satisfies your hunger. But, it leaves you thirsty.
