All Female Box Office Celebrity Chris Hemsworth Entertainment film Ghostbusters Guru Jay Hollywood Kate McKinnon Kristen Wiig Leslie Jones Melissa McCarthy movie review Movies Showbiz The Red Carpet

Ghostbusters Movie Review

BY: GURU JAY

The long-awaited all female Ghostbusters came to theaters yesterday. Everybody was expecting this to be the number 1 summer movie. Did Ghostbusters meet this expectation? Or were we disappointed?

Fans of the original may be disappointed that it didn’t pick off where the last one left off. However, you must appreciate it as a standalone film. How can you deny the incredible acting and comedic timing? Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones put the cat in the bag and on a show (Garfield, maybe?).

The movie provided fun entertainment. There are many unforgettable scenes. I won’t spoil it for you.
It was awkward at times because it seemed like a Saturday Night Live reunion. I’ll give the casting department a break because the movie was funny. But I wanted more variety, fresher faces, and unpredictability. Still, everyone contributed to the awkwardness including Chris Hemsworth.

Melissa McCarthy was laid back and Leslie Jones was in your face. What you get is a nice chemistry experiment. Additionally, I thought Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig played their characters really well. McKinnon was believable as a university professor obsessed with gaining tenure. And Wiig was unbelievable as whatever she was supposed to be.

I thought the cinematography was top notch. In this kind of movie, the light is critical. Moreover, you couldn’t ask for better special effects. The concert hall scene and the ending were breathtaking. Now, you could ask for a better soundtrack. Music is important in every movie.

I give the movie a B. You see delivering good comedy is a hard task. I feel the filmmakers could have done more with their resources.

Ghostbusters met my expectations. I expected big butts in seats and strong box office numbers. But I never expected it to be the number 1 summer movie. Overall, I was satisfied with the outcome.

Why Bill Murray Ticks Off the Clock

Bill Murray cracks smiles better than chiropractors crack backs. Plus, Murray massages funny bones better than masseuses rub elbows. This professional comedic actor subscribes to the Netflix business model.
His new movie Rock the Kasbah comes out this Friday. With Bruce Willis as the key supporting actor, you can expect a strong performance at the box office. In addition, at the end of this year, Murray will star in a Netflix Christmas special.
The greatness of Bill Murray is that his comedy transcends time. Like Chris Tucker, Bill Murray is in full effect. If you can make it in the comedy business, then you’re exceptional.

All around the world’s stages and comedy clubs, even the best comedians are hearing boos from inpatient audiences. Still, Bill receives constant adulation instead of heckles because of his timeless material. Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day have cemented his legacy on film. Who can forget about Lost in Translation and St. Vincent too?

His FQ (Funny Quotient) equals Albert Einstein’s IQ. Did you know that Bill Murray starred in 70 episodes of Saturday Night Live as a player from 1977 to 1980. In my book, he is a top 3 SNL alumni. 1. Eddie Murphy 2. Will Ferrell 3. Bill Murray 4. Adam Sandler 5. Tracy Morgan.

Only Mike Myers (Austin Powers) has a bigger mojo than him. If you check the demographics, Murray reaches an incredible range of fans. Unlike Bill Maher, he doesn’t polarize parties. Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton chuckle at Murray’s jokes.

I haven’t decided whether I’ll write a movie review on Rock the Kasbah. However, I’m looking forward to the celebrity’s Christmas special. I’ve heard Amy Schumer and Bradley Cooper have come on board for this jolly season. To wrap it up (pun intended), Bill Murray made a deal with Father Time. That’s why he ticks off the clock.

Actress Amy Schumer comedy entertainers Funny Ghostbusters Guru Jay Hollywood Stars Identity Thief Jimmy Fallon Jimmy Kimmel Melissa McCarthy Mike and Molly Movies Spy Standup Comics Tracy Morgan

Why Melissa McCarthy Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost

If you want to deliver a timely joke, don’t bother with UPS, Fed EX, and certainly the post office. Melissa McCarthy delivers the complete package ahead of schedule. The Ghostbusters lead actress answers the epic question: who you gonna call?
As Mike’s better half, she made you laugh on TV. Do you catch Mike and Molly reruns? Plus, she stole Jason Bateman’s credit in Identity Thief. Are you getting my drift?
Prepare to lose your monopoly game against Melissa McCarthy. She gives McCarthyism a new meaning. You see I like her professionalism. The comedic actor doesn’t waste time or talent. What is more, the comedian paved the way for future entertainers.
Doesn’t she have a strong influence on Amy Schumer? People enjoy seeing Molly shine because Mel’s down-to-earth. Although some let fame go to their noggins, not this gal. After watching numerous interviews, you’ll discover she’s a sweetie.

Imagine her starring opposite Tracy Morgan. Talk about a movie selling itself.
Now, I’m not saying the Spy star doesn’t have a wild side. There is a reason Hollywood movers and shakers knock on her dressing room door. Did you know she is a fashion queen?
The best celebrities build brands as well as careers. Moreover, Melissa McCarthy works with the best. That’s why she is a great comedian.
Never underestimate the former gymnast’s flexibility. When you have a chance, check out the comic’s Saturday Night Live scenes for proof. The celeb’s Improv skills are top notch.
Let’s petition a Melissa McCarthy late show. Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon should have perfect competition.
Genuine laughter is harder to produce than crude oil. Right now, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy’s tickets cost more than a barrel of oil. This is a sign of the times.
In summary, Melissa McCarthy brings it on home. She isn’t scared to speak her mind. And, fans appreciate her honesty.
