Why Madonna Must Answer to Lady Gaga And the Texas State of Music

Madonnadeserves respect. She is an iconic sex symbol. But, I enjoy listening to Lady Gaga’s songs more than the material girl’s music.

I don’t intend to diminish Madonna’s legacy. I just want to highlight Lady Gaga’s achievements. Lady Gaga is the new Madonna. But let’s not forget how Madonna blazed the trail for today’s singers.

Do you think Lady Gaga cares more about the music or the sex? When you’re on her level, money is not a real concern. Lady Gaga can make a living just by licensing her name. This is a fair question.

I ask this question because I like to know what so-called sex symbols think. Take Scarlett Johansson for example. Does acting come before beauty?

Look at Lady Gaga. She is a perfect specimen created in a laboratory. Her Body Mass Index has to be lower than 15. Does she eat at all?

Can Lady Gaga dethrone Madonna? Yes. Give Gaga some time and she’ll rise to number 1. I rank Lady Gaga 2^nd right behind Beyoncé.

In 5 years, Madonna must answer to Lady Gaga. The telephone will ring and Gaga is on the line. Will Madonna accept the call? If not, Beyoncé is about to bust her out of jail.

Gaga’s music registers 9.9 on the Richter scale. Go for cover because when the lady rocks it’s an earthquake.

If I’m having a party Lady Gaga gets the first invitation. Then I’ll invite Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Katy Perry. It’s all a matter of preferences.

I prefer high quality entertainment. In the words of James Brown “we’re gonna have a funky good time.” I like Lady Gaga because she’s comfortable in her own skin.

She’ll wear her birthday suit anywhere. She digs deep down in her soul when she performs. Can you name a better performer?

Would you rather go to a Lady Gaga or Katy Perry concert? I am a Katy Cat but I am also a Big Little Monster. Katy stays in the safe zone.

Gaga takes you on an adventure. Now, Katy is the perfect wedding singer. I can imagine my future wife walking down the isle while Katy Perry hits a high note. But, make no mistake Lady Gaga will perform at my bachelor party.

Wonder Woman

There’s TV Politics and there’s Music Politics too. Lady Gaga appeals to an adult audience. So she makes riskier music than Perry.

If Katy Perry is rated PG 13, Lady Gaga is rated R. Okay, I’m not saying Katy gets a free pass. I just think Gaga gets sacked a lot.

I didn’t understand the Tony Bennett affair at first. Now, it makes perfect sense. Gaga is his Wonder Woman and Bennett is her Batman.

Lady Gaga Sings the Blues

Tony Bennett rescued Lady Gaga. Tony took her under his wing in the nick of time. Bennett provided Gaga with a safety net.

Nobody embodies greatness better than Lady Gaga. Gaga became famous out of the blue. She committed herself to music like a soldier.

She’s highly trained and disciplined. Who outranks her? Just think about her devotion.

She loves entertaining. What is more, Gaga engages her fan base in real life as well as on social media. She has the cutest poker face.

You never know when she’s bluffing. Lady Gaga can do what she wants with her mind. I’ve seen concerts where she dominates the stage. She’ll make the stage her boyfriend.

She doesn’t have to sing Alejandro for you to get the point. Gaga plays to your senses. She is a sex symbol. Moreover, she can deal with fame. Check out the Top 20 Celebrity Quotes.

As a celebrity, you have to face pressure. There’s no way around this. You’re expected to do your part. Many celebrities avoid the spotlight. Lady Gaga embraces the attention.

Grabbing attention is not a bad thing. Would we really care about a ‘twerkless’ Miley Cyrus? Entertainment is meant to entice us.

Who wants to see a mediocre or boring performance? We want to see the best. So, what does it take? The answer is sacrifice.

Lady Gaga is outspoken about sacrificing her love life in order to build her career. That’s how she befriended Tony Bennett. Tony saved her from being a one hit wonder. Now, Gaga soars the charts like Wonder Woman.

I just want Lady Gaga to be healthy. Check out how to be healthy like Katy Perry. You see Lady Gaga appears to live on the edge.

I hope she gets centered. She can take a page from Tony Bennett’s playbook, and sing songs until she’s 90. Learn from Madonna.

Music moves fast. So, it’s surprising when a celebrity like Lady Gaga stops to smell the roses. Why can’t the Paparazzi leave her alone? She has the right to privacy.

Lady Gaga doesn’t owe us an album every two years. She should take a break and experiment a little. She should make a new sound.

Lady Gaga has an untouchable voice. At times she sounds like a DJ scratching a record. She can do what she wants with her vocal cords.

Can you imagine a Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars duet? Let’s make it happen. I’ll write the song.

Texas State of Music

Welcome to the Texas state of music. Music is not dead. In actuality, music is better than ever. It’s not fair to compare today’s sound with the 60s and 70s.

Bob Seger has got it completely wrong. I like that old time rock and roll too. But, I also like this new time rock and roll… Lady Gaga’s got the same soul!

I got three words: Beyoncé, Shakira and Rihanna. How can you throw their music under the bus? You can’t write off legendary talent.

Bruno Mars is in another world. Just the Way You Are, Grenade, and the Lazy Song combine for over 1.5 Billion YouTube views. So don’t believe the hype. The haters will hate.

Now, I’m not naive. I’m not saying every song is a hit. I understand there are misses.

All I am saying is don’t dismiss hit makers. YouTube is largely popular, in part, due to VEVO. Who listens to music on YouTube?

In this new age, Lady Gaga pushes the limits. I admire her bravery and courage.

Katy built a powerhouse because Gaga took a little break. Katy has evolved to number 1.

Top 50 Independence Day Weekend Movies

Happy Independence Day! In honor of the 50 United States of America, I present to you the Top 50 Independence Day Weekend movies.

Katy Perry’s Firework is a suitable start to this special occasion. Check out Beyonce’s God Bless the USA and Jimi Hendrix’s Star Spangled Banner @ Woodstock.

How many hot dog eating championships does Joey Chestnut have left in him?

In my previous article, I said Rotten Tomatoes and movie critics are pointless. As you can see, Rotten Tomatoes gives Problem Child 2 a 7 % rating. But wait, the movie is 50th all time in box office receipts.

So you think you can be a movie critic? Go ahead and dance instead.

The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkledebuted when I was a child. I couldn’t believe they got Robert De Niro to star in the film. I wished my grandma were alive to watch it with me. Rocky & Bullwinkle was her favorite cartoon.

I am impressed by the success of the Katy Perry and Kevin Hart specials. But the Karate Kid Part II clearly belongs in the top 50. I like it better than the new Karate Kid. The first franchise is forever legendary.

License to Wed starring Robin Williams and Mandy Moore also receive 7 % from Rotten Tomatoes. O.k. from now on I refuse to mention the smelly website.

Any movie with Robin Williams automatically earns a 50 percent cushion. The comedian is half man, half crazy (I mean comedic genius, laugh out loud). I recommend you go to IMDB for more reliable ratings.

Back to the Future deserves a place in the Library of Congress. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd created a masterpiece. The film is one of the best time travel movies in existence. It is an absolute must-see summer fun movie. See if you can watch it tonight.

South Park and Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers make the top 40. I remember seeing South Park late at night. And, Power Rangers came on in the morning just before school started. It’s pretty cool when television shows get made into motion pictures.

My jaw dropped as soon as I saw Larry Crowne at #36. But then again, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts blend so well together. They’re like a strawberry mango smoothie with extra ice on a sweltering hot summer day.

Tom Hanks is the #1 all time movie star. And, at 46 years old Julia Roberts makes $10 million, which is unheard of for a working actress. So, Larry Crowne is a logical winner.

Have you seen Savages (2012)? You can’t go wrong with Oliver Stone and John Travolta. Of course, Blake Lively is a tasty ingredient to any Rachael Ray recipe.

A League of Their Own is #32 all time. The movie premiered in 1992. Think about that for a minute. How high would the film rank if these numbers were adjusted for inflation? I think it is easily in the top 10.

Sequels seem to do strikingly well on Independence Day weekend. Scary Movie 2 and Legally Blonde 2 are prime examples. Both movies make you cry from laughter. Credit goes to Wayans and Witherspoon.

Reese plays your typical blonde with a tequila twist. Ironically, she is a brainiac in the movie. Of course, Marlon Wayans is a maniac in all of his movies. In addition, Die Hard 2: Die Harder is #27 all time.

There is not a Sixth Sense blockbuster without Die Hard. Bruce became BRUCE WILLIS by starring in the Die Hard series. He is one of the greatest action heroes in history because of his earlier career success.

Let’s jump down 1 on the list. Look at #25. I had Pre-Law as an elective in high school. Our class watched The Patriot starring Mel Gibson. He gives a heartfelt performance. What is more, the film is based on the American Revolution.

Public Enemies, Apollo 13, The Firm and The Devil Wears Prada round out the top 30. I’ve seen all four and enjoyed each one. I’ll string together a few words: Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. When you get top talent like that, it pretty much begins to sell itself.

Will Smith highlights the top 20. I’ve watched these three movies and give them all good grades. #20 Wild Wild West, #12 Independence Day, and #11 Men in Black The moral of the story is to release a Will Smith movie on the 4th of July.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger holds the 18th and 13th spots. Now answer me this: Would you have elected Schwarzenegger if you didn’t fear being terminated?

He’ll be back…

As I conclude, do you see how the best summer movies open on Independence Day weekend?

Men in Black II ranks 10^thall time. My pet peeve is the debut date. Fans should never have to wait 5 years for a sequel. That’s why I have doubts about Avatar 2.

At #9 and #8 are Superman Returns and the Amazing Spider-Man respectively. Hancock is 7th all time. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse takes the 6th spot like a vampire at night in Kristen Stewart’s room.

War of the Worlds is alive at #5. Who would have thought the man born on the 4th is President Jefferson in the flesh via Tom Cruise’s body. Is he on every top 5 list ever created?

And now the Mount Rushmore: #4 Transformers. The 2007 film is the 1st installment of an incredible franchise. #3 Despicable Me 2…1 word: Happy.

#2 Spider-Man 2 I still believe Tobey Maguire is the best Spider-Man. But, in fairness to Andrew Garfield I need to see the new installments.

Send me a DVD please. Really Garfield, do you pretend to own Facebook? On a serious note, Transformers Dark of the Moon is number 1. The Transformersseries is virtually unstoppable. It’s Michael Bay’s way or the highway, people.

To be in love is an illusion. The heart can only take so much. It is made to endure pain and pleasure. A big heart may be filled with hatred or with love.

Love is a long journey. Bruno Mars’ ballad Just The Way You Are demonstrates the meaning behind love. Your love is perfect in your eyes.

I want to know if she’s kind, lovable and a good cook. You might want to know something different. Beyonce’s Halois beautiful. Her voice is as close to an angel as you can get. The lyrics are sweet, elegant, and intriguing. You can listen to Halo from now until forever.

Many of the most memorable movies deal with love. The Titanic is a classic love story. Leonardo DiCaprio’s words are well scripted.

Love is an action. You have to do the deed. Otherwise, your words are meaningless.

A lot of action actors like Angelina Jolie star in romantic films. Angelina Jolie earns every cent of her paycheck. She makes movie bosses a fortune.

Tom Cruise is a top actor. He has starred in several film genres from science fiction to romance. I believe the best actors have the ability to play multiple roles.

Moreover, Cruise is known for his role in Jerry Maguire. Jerry Maguire has a dozen of memorable lines. For instance, “Jerry, Show me the Money!” is a line that helped Cuba Gooding Jr. win a Best Supporting Actor Oscar Statue.

Of course, the “You had me at hello” sequence became an instant classic. The fact is life is nothing without love. In a sense, love is the definition of a meaningful life.

I admire actresses, because it’s a lot harder being an actress than an actor. First, there are fewer roles for female leads. As a result, there are less lines.

Love is what you make of it. Like all great things, you have to take time out to practice. Don’t neglect love.

If you haven’t found love, be patient. Sometimes, love will find you. Love is somewhere close to us…
