Drake Is the $100 Million Man

It’s Prime Day and I’m thinking about buying a few Scorpion albums with my money. The only problem is Amazon’s got a big glitch. I thought I write about Drake until Amazon gets fixed. Right now, I’m listening to his music as I write.

I first listened to Scorpionon Spotify when it was initially released on June 29. If you don’t know what Spotify is, it is the Netflix of music. As I listened to Drake on Spotify, I was impressed from the very beginning.

Since June 29, I’ve played Drake’s music every day. I can recall listening to it on Independence Day. The experience was like watching a Will Smith movie. It was a pleasure to hear his rhymes and beats.

Drake is no stranger to taking over. Do you remember when Hotline Bling was the music video of the year? “And I know when that hotline bling, that can only mean one thing.”

Drake is taking over Summer 2018. We will look back on this moment and recognize the summer as a historic period in music. You watch as people come up with stories in the future.

Drake is the $100 million man for 100 million reasons. His music gets inside of your head. You are bound to memorize his lyrics. It’s only a matter of time before you know In My Feelings by heart.

“Kiki, do you love me?”

I can’t wait for him to collaborate with The Weeknd, who made $92 million last year according to Forbes.

I believe Drake’s Scorpionalbum will eclipse the popularity of Thriller. Everyone acknowledges Thriller as Michael Jackson’s magnus opus. Well, Scorpionis Drake’s magnus opus.

The hit album is a popular culture phenomenon. First, we saw God’s Plan turn into a colossal hit. Then, Nice for What became a theme song for independent women. Let’s not forget his music videos are cream of the crop. I’m talking top notch quality.

Now, In My Feelingsmight turn into the song of the year. People are literally going wild because of In My Feelings. Have you heard of the In My Feelings challenge? It’s amazing how much Drake is impacting the world with his songs.

Scorpion was released 3 weeks ago and has already broken all time streaming records. It is no coincidence Drake features Michael Jackson on his album.

Drake is a modern-day Picasso. His songs are works of arts. Like Beyonce and Jay Z, Drake has made a masterpiece. Unlike Bey and Jay, you could say he did it all by himself because his name alone is on the album cover.

Listening to Drake’s music gives you good vibes. For the most part, his music stays positive. However, he had to address his Pusha T beef. I don’t understand these rap beefs sometimes.

Applaud Drake because he is willing to tell his side of the story. I hope Amazon gets fixed, so I can buy the Drake albums. In the meantime, I’m going to keep listening to his music.

Collateral Beauty starring Will Smithcaptivates the audience. The film takes you on a journey of discovery. You discover the characters one by one and the story is put together piece by piece. You’re given all that you need from beginning to end. Not a word is wasted.

Collateral Beauty is about a man (Will Smith) coping with the death of his young daughter. Fortunately, he has built a thriving advertising business. But all the money in the world won’t bring his daughter back to life.

To cope with the unthinkable (losing a child), Howard played by Smith writes and mails letters to 3 abstracts: Love, Time, and Death. A private investigator opens them and reveals the details to his colleagues. Howard is effectively ambushed by his colleagues who stage an intervention to question his competency.

The plot involves subplots such as a woman’s biological clock, a man’s fight with cancer, and a father’s bond with his daughter. Actors literally play a key role in the movie, because the colleagues hire actors to play Love, Time, and Death. The movie has many twists and turns. I guarantee you’ll love it.

Will Smith delivers a powerful performance. His part alone makes the movie an eye opening experience. Give credit to amazing direction and incredible cinematography. No doubt the screenwriting is brilliant. Overall, I give the movie an A.

Plus, the movie showcases a dynamic cast. Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, and Michael Pena were excellent additions. Let’s not forget about Keira Knightley, who never looks a day over 25. They say she always gets her beauty sleep.

Collateral Beauty is about recognizing Death and staring her in the face. Accept the things you can’t change. And change what you can. What is more, come to grips that death is a natural part of life. Live your life abudantly, so that you can die peacefully. In the event, something unexpected happens, realize the collateral beauty.

Jared Leto is many things- a singer, actor, and all-around entertainer. He loses himself in the moment and perfectly performs onstage or onscreen. Plus, Leto is a noted vegetarian.
Let’s acknowledge him for taking on challenging projects such as Dallas Buyers Club. His coworkers have noticed his dedication as well. If Hollywood were Wal-Mart, Jared Leto would win employee of the month every time.
The Thirty Seconds To Mars bandleader leads by example. Although he isn’t usually a lead actor, Leto influences the direction of movies. He plays Joker in Suicide Squad starring Will Smith.


Celebrities have special qualities. Leto is committed to perfection. I don’t believe Matthew McConaughey would have won an Oscar without a pushing toward greatness.
Never underestimate the power of a superior supporting actor. Moreover, Leto played inferior roles such as a heroin addict in Requiem for a Dream. Like Christian Bale, the Academy Award winning Jared Leto is a rare method actor.
Finally, Leto is receiving credit for his brilliance. The Edge of the Earth musician will go to the extreme if that’s what it takes. What is more, he could have dumped his band and went solo like Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé.
Fortunately, Thirty Seconds To Mars has produced 4 studio albums to date. And the music group has amassed 1.6 million Twitter followers. Jared Leto went from an unknown to a Very Important Person.

In 20 years, he’s become a household name, because he relentlessly pursues his passion. Did you know Jared Leto started as a director? In fact, he graduated from the School of Visual Arts. Everything happens for a reason.
If I were advising him, I would encourage him to focus on directing. You see directing is like playing golf. You can be a director or golfer almost forever.
I know Leto knows what to do. He is more than a jack-of-all-trades. Jared Leto is rare because he is a master of many trades.

How Dwayne Johnson & Will Smith Made Their Names Famous

Focus lead actor Will Smith was the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for six seasons before becoming Mr. Box Office. Despite questionable decision making such as role selections, Smith always over delivers and never disappoints. Don’t fault a man for taking chances.
Most fans recall Dwayne Johnson’s WWE days as the Rock. Thousands have rented his Pay-Per-View World Wrestling Entertainment Championships. Nowadays, Johnson need not answer the question “if you smell… what the Rock is cooking?” In Hollywood and around the world, he is known as a premiere movie star.


What do the Rock and the Fresh Prince have in common? They started on a small scale and finished second to nobody. Also, it helps that these highly demanded actors simultaneously improved their skills as well as their physiques.
Watching Will and Dwayne perform onscreen is akin to seeing an athlete in action. It’s like spectating a NBA slam-dunk contest starring Blake Griffin and LeBron James inside a packed movie theater. As a professional wrestler Johnson can compete toe-to-toe with the best NFL Linebackers and Defensive Ends.
If you haven’t seen Gridiron Gang or the Game Plan, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.

Johnson can learn a lot from Smith, who owns a stake in the Philadelphia 76ers. Will and Dwayne don’t ever have to worry. No matter what happens they are guaranteed money because of their legacies.

I consider Johnson to be one of the best movie stars right now. Moreover, Smith is one of the greatest actors I have ever seen across eras. Smith deserved Oscars for Independence Day, the Legend of Bagger Vance, Ali, Pursuit of Happyness, and I am Legend.

Is Jerry Seinfeld or Adam Sandler funnier? Or should I ask who is luckier? They’re both talented comedians. But, take away Seinfeld’s TV show and he’s average.
Sandler is funnier because his funny bone extends 3 extra inches. Seinfeld is luckier since his sitcom guarantees cash. Some say Sandler is overpaid.
Let’s distinguish between comedic actors and comedians. There’s a difference between scripted sitcoms and live standup routines. Other great comedians constantly get overlooked in this area.
The media doesn’t publicize Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, and Tim Allen enough. That’s why Ferrell created Funny or Die. That’s also why Allen does Chevrolet commercials. For what it’s worth, Seinfeld signed on for Microsoft advertisements.
The comedy business isn’t for the faint of heart. Though Seinfeld and Sandler receive more attention, they pushed their brands hard. Jerry promoted the Bee movie nonstop. And Adam kept on pushing despite a few box office blunders.
Jerry Seinfeld and Adam Sandler are two of the best comedic actors in cinematic history alongside the likes of Eddie Murphy and Will Smith. As a side note, no one really views Smith as a comedic actor.
Do you consider Adam and Jerry great comedians?
What if I threw Ben Stiller into the mix? Would you rather see Ben and Jerry do standup or eat their ice cream? David Spade is another underrated comedian Hollywood doesn’t fully support and appreciate.

What are your favorite Adam Sandler movies? I recommend Grown Ups, Funny People, Happy Gilmore, and Mr. Deeds. Looking back on their careers, not many celebrities are luckier than Sandler and Seinfeld.

Will Smith will start the New Year off on a bad foot. There’s a good chance the Focus movie, starring Smith and Margot Robbie will flop. To sum it up, Smith soaked up all the money.
I love Will Smith’s acting. I hate his agent’s negotiation skills. The actor missed out on prime opportunities in the past and present.
Let’s say Smith makes $35 million + 10 percent at the box office for every movie. Well, what’s the rest of the cast making? I’m on the fence about this film because I’ve seen it already. It was called Ocean’s Eleven.
The Focus cast lack star power. Can you believe Focus was made with a $100 million budget? Hollywood’s got a problem.
In 2013, Robert Downey, Jr. received $75 million for reprising the role of Iron Man. The highest paid actor only starred in one movie. You could give some actors $5 million for Iron Man; and they will do a better job than Bob.
Will Smith and Robert Downey, Jr. are a splitting image of each other. They demand maximum money at the film’s detriment. Is Will’s heart still in acting?
The people on top don’t have a clue about what’s really happening. They’re writing checks, looking at names, and that’s it. I wonder if Ty Pennington can give Hollywood an extreme makeover.
The movie industry’s in bad shape. The problem is not the actors, but it’s the acting. Why do Aussies play American roles? Tom Hanks never uses an Australian accent.
Will Smith deserves a top payday. However, Hollywood needs to come back to reality. Give these actors a salary cap like the NBA and NFL.


Will Smith can walk away in the sunset with sunglasses and flip-flops. But that doesn’t change the fact he’s overpaid. Those flip flops he’s wearing probably cost around $500. 
I don’t blame Will Smith per say. He sets a high bar. He shows why work ethic still triumphs over talent. Lately, he’s been bench-pressing and producing results.

Based on what I’ve gathered, I give the movie a C+ or potential B -. The Will Smith we used to know loved giving fans a show. Let’s not be too hard on him because he chose a bad film.

Will Smith’s filmography as a lead actor is exceptional. He consistently wins at the box office. You see Smith can sell out a crowd.
I wonder what Will Smith can’t do. He has a can-do attitude. Hollywood feels an earthquake each time Smith leaves for Philadelphia.
20 years ago Will Smith received a warm welcome from the movie industry. Hollywood was ecstatic to have the West Philadelphia kid on their block. His strong TV fan base translated into box office success.
It’s no secret that charisma wins fans. The multi-talented Smith uses charms like a leprechaun. Is he half-Irish?
Before TV and movies, Will Smith made music. As a rapper he created songs like Parents Just Don’t Understand and Summer Time. Unfortunately, despite his success Will Smith went bankrupt. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air TV show let him redeem himself.
Everybody should get a second chance. This time Will Smith let money work for him. Nowadays, he picks and chooses roles.
The family man selects characters with positive images. By and large, he usually plays the protagonist. Fortunately Will Smith produced many good movies. He co-produced Annie.
The action hero maintains a high fitness level. Did you see the star in I am Legend? He’s at his absolute best. He shows why he doesn’t always do comedy.
I recommend Seven Pounds. If you like drama and suspense, you’ll appreciate this film. He makes a connection with Rosario Dawson which will give you Goosebumps.
While Will Smith never won an Academy Award, he was nominated for Ali and Pursuit of Happyness. He’s on the A list.
Buy and hold Dwayne Johnson’s stock. The Rock snatched up many of the Fresh Prince’s roles. That’s why Johnson appeared in Forbes.
He’s younger than Will Smith. Plus he’s built like the Hulk. At the moment, Dwayne Johnson is more popular than Smith.
I stand by my prediction, Channing Tatum will become the highest paid actor. His agent seems to negotiate fair deals. You could argue he is the most popular figure in Hollywood.
I don’t think Tatum took Smith’s parts. But, I believe screenwriters now develop scripts with Channing in mind. The writers used to love writing only for Will Smith.

There’s more to Smith than a dollar ($) sign. He’s a persistent workaholic. So, I recognize Will Smith as a brand as well as a person.
From day one, he’s been an awakening force. I wonder if he could act in Star Wars. Science Fiction films were his niche for a long time.
Smith secured a main role for Marvel. He will play DC comic’s Black Adam. The Hancock star’s experience is his best asset.
If Will’s acting career ended today, he could still call himself one of the greatest actors of all time. Did you see The Legend of Bagger Vance or Hitch? The Men in Black franchise along with Independence Day gained Smith instant fame.
Screen Rant reported Will Smith is not a part of the Independence Day 2 cast. After 17 years, Fox finally decides to remake a Will Smith movie but without the superstar. That takes a lot of guts but no glory. 
Maybe, they call themselves saving money. Fans speculate Smith demanded too much cash. But, I’m not buying that idea.
Here’s the problem. The movie executives are underestimating Will Smith’s appeal. And, at the same time Smith is overestimating his abilities. That’s why an agent is so important. In the scheme of things, I’d rather have Channing Tatum’s agent.
Remember Will Smith gives you his best. Sometimes you fail even when you do everything right. In order to succeed, you must learn from failure. I admire Will Smith because if he’s down and out, he’ll make a comeback.

I love my generation. So when Eminem attacks Iggy Azalea, he’s talking about my generation. Do you believe Eminem and Iggy carefully orchestrated their beef? Why would Eminem risk ruining a good relationship?
I expect Eminem to catch a ball in Left Field. He’s an official Detroit Tiger. Eminem made his career by causing controversy.
This is his calling card. He went after Britney, Mariah and the Spice girls. Iggy Azalea was next. Eminem’s predictable because the rapper always goes after mainstream ‘pop’ stars.
The urban legend is Iggy Azalea has a ghostwriter. She doesn’t write her own lyrics like Eminem and most other rappers. And Nicki Minaj exposed her at the BET Awards.

Is Iggy Azalea authentic? 
Maybe, Snoop Dogg is her ghostwriter. He’s known to spell out his name S.N.OO.P. D.O.GG. Iggy spells her name out I.GG.Y.
The Snoop Dogg feud shouldn’t have escalated. As the Nicki Minaj news faded, Snoop stole the spotlight. It’s almost like the rappers think Iggy is a problem.
I’m sorry… Does Iggy Azalea hurt their record sales? Why not work with her, instead of against her? Maybe, I’m missing something.
If you can’t make good music, at least make some sense. It’s senseless to criticize a fellow celebrity. Let the fans listen to their music.
The entertainment industry is a hard enough nut to crack. I say let the nut crackers crack. Let the singers sing. And let the rappers rap. Musicians should stick to making music.
So who’s pulling the strings? Who’s behind the scenes calling the shots? Is it the rappers or the record labels? You know the deal.
I get that the music business is highly competitive. Nowadays musicians are more business minded than ever. Maybe, the Iggy Azalea beefs are all hype. I hope it is.
Still, if you’re a celebrity, you need to grow thick skin. Never allow a little joke to upset you. Iggy Azalea should have sought advice.
Addressing the gangster rapper was a big mistake. Snoop received his education at the school of hard knocks alongside Jay Z & Annie. He’s not Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or J. Cole.
Iggy came back firing on all cylinders. So Snoop declared an all out war. And T.I. had to make peace. If you ask me, this isn’t finished.
They both went too far. Neither one should have acknowledged the other’s insults. Recap: first Nicki, then Snoopy, and now Eminem…
Eminem
Listen to the rap song Detroit Vs. Everybody. Then, you’ll understand Eminem’s mentality. In his mind, nothing is off limits.
Even if you don’t admire his authenticity, you can’t say he isn’t consistent. When Eminem includes you in his rap, then you are relevant. Does his one-liners do any real damage? It’s a matter of perspective. Still, Eminem should proceed with caution. You have the right to speak your mind and remain silent.
You see Eminem worked his way up the underground. 8 Mile, loosely based on his life, is a great movie. If you make a movie based on a true story, people will want to see proof. Fortunately, Eminem’s story checked out. In fact, Lose Yourself won an Oscar.
The rap community does not support Iggy because she has no street credibility. Eminem originated out of Detroit. The only place that can rival the dangerous ‘D’ is Compton. 
So, it’s best for Iggy to ‘shake it off.’ Make a song with Taylor Swift. Get your money and they might respect you. Don’t try to take on the World Star Hip Hop. You’ll lose.
A real winner loses sometime. Iggy Azalea is a winner as long as she sticks to making music. I question why she even needs a publicist.
It takes time to master any game. A player must practice every chance he gets. Before Eminem was famous, he honed his skills.
Eminem gets better with time. That’s why the rap community respects him. He’s not afraid.
Eminem received his education from the old school. He’s not new school like James Franco. The celebrity does his homework. He practices.
People like Eminem because he doesn’t seek their approval. That’s the secret to his success. Iggy can learn a lot from Eminem if she listens.
Iggy Azalea
If Iggy ignores her haters, she’ll break records. But if her ego gets too big, the rapper will burst like a bubble. She has to stay grounded.
I’ve never seen somebody burn bridges they haven’t even crossed yet. Hollywood Boulevard is a two way street. You can’t choose sides.
See How to Be Famous in 7 Steps. Iggy needs to read step #4- Engage your fan base. Instead of engaging fans, her attention is focused on her harshest critics.
Iggy’s still young. So she’ll learn from her mistakes. It’s better to outsmart your opponent than to overpower him.
When taking the high road, hire a limousine driver. You can’t chance it. In the long haul, you need security and a dedicated team.
It seems T.I. is the only person that defends Iggy. That’s why it’s open season on Azalea. She should just build her brand.
Maybe, T.I. is to Iggy, what Dr. Dre is to Eminem and maybe not. You see Eminem signed 50 cent to Shady Aftermath records. Eminem cofounded a rap group in 1996 called D-12. 

Eminem made Iggy Azalea possible.
I’ve never heard Brad Pitt talk bad about Johnny Depp. The Movie industry operates differently. What if Iggy started acting?
Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg had respectable rap careers before striking gold on the silver screen. Do you think Iggy compares more with Mark or Eminem?
There are two paths Iggy can choose. She can select the Eminem route or the Mark Wahlberg route. It’s easier to be Wahlberg than Eminem.
To sum it up, T.I. can’t fight all of Iggy’s battles for her. People will start to get the wrong idea. Does T.I. control Azalea’s career?
I’m following this situation because something’s wrong. Fans love Iggy. Rappers love fans. So, why do rappers hate Iggy Azalea?
