I was one of the first to watch her video with Rihanna on YouTube. Does this remind you of Beautiful Liar? We can’t get enough of Shakira, plain and simple.

I became infatuated with Britney in the eighth grade. If you will, call it puppy love. Oh my, Britney can work it too. 

The reality is Britney breaks records in the record business. Womanizers and women buy her goods up like beachfront property. Why? Because she’s hot, that’s why.

8. Alicia Keys

AliciaKeys is a phenomenal solo artist. Not many hold a candle to her musical acumen. She lights up the world with her music.

Not to mention, she has more curves than Justin Verlander and Kate Upton. She’s a bad mama jama. She is an elite 8th but she bats cleanup. She seems so delicate like a dove.

At 7 is Bruno Mars, because his status has soared ever since performing at the SuperBowl. He pays homage to legends like Elvis. That’s why he is a fine showman.

If you love music, then you like Bruno Mars. His fans are amazing. I admire his work ethic.

His best years are still to come. In a decade, he may legitimately take the number 1 spot. He’s not the King; he’s more like the Duke of Pop.

5. Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake manages to mesmerize the ladies. It’s almost like the Suit and Tiemusician is a magician on the stage. The singer /actor/businessman pulls out bunny rabbits from his many hats.

Make no mistake. Do you think his marriage to Jessica Biel makes him more desirable? Whatever the case, Timberlake is the future face of entertainment.

4. Katy Perry

I play a lot baseball. And, I listen to a lot of music. If baseball is America’s pastime, then Katy Perry is America’s sweetheart.

Katy is definitely a diva. I may go as far to say she is the Duchess of Pop. But, the Princess title is up for grabs.

3. Rihanna

Keep your eye on Rihanna. Whenever I see her, she looks good. She keeps up with appearances and never disappoints.

She receives the bronze medal. She is my definition of “Pop Star.” Her music appeals to the masses. I love numbers.

You see Rihanna lets you in on a secret. Then, suddenly she stops mid sentence. I’m very fond of her puzzling personality.

I still think Disturbia could have been the next Thriller. But, the timing was wrong. This doesn’t change the fact she is the most viewed artist on YouTube. And, that means she’s doing something right.

2. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga deserves the silver medal. She is one of my favorites, because she has built the type of fandom I want. I know for one thing, she has 42 million Twitter followers plus 66 million Facebook likes.

I would enjoy meeting Lady Gaga. She stands for a cause. It’s nice to see her spreading a message.

What I like the most about Lady Gaga is how she came out of nowhere. One day we went to bed and Lady Gaga was our dream girl. Her rise was like a movie starring Beyoncé Knowles.

Lady Gaga doesn’t have to sing another song. Come on: Poker Face, Born This Way, and Bad Romance made her famous forever. After launching off into orbit in 2008, the universe now knows her name.

Beyoncéis big. I nominated her ‘entertainer of the year.’ I believe Beyoncé will only get bigger.

Beyoncé is at her peak. There’s no sign of her slowing down and taking it easy. She’s on a mission.

The ‘GetMe Bodied’ girlfriend embodies the essence of beauty. Her sexy skin radiates on stage and on YouTube. You stop and stare as she struts into the room.

Let me put it this way. Beyoncé is #1. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are really hot. But, (the key word) they are NOT Beyoncéin bold letters.

I’ve always been a Beyoncé fan. Through the good and bad, I stick by her. I buy her music, go to her concerts and drink her orange juice.

When life gives me lemonade, I make fresh squeezed orange juice. Beyoncé is different. If you want to be on her level, you must understand your uniqueness.

Did you know Beyoncé started with Destiny’s Child? If you were born in the 90s, you may not know this fact. What Paul McCartney is to the Beatles, Beyoncé is to Destiny’sChild.

Let me be the first to say, the Beatles will always be the best band until the year 3,000. But, as a solo artist Beyoncé is as good as it gets. Who can deny her?

Steve Jobs changed the music business with the iPod, iPad and iTunes. Michael Jackson’s influenced pop culture and cemented his legacy as the King of Pop with the Thriller album. Beyoncé is changing the entertainment industry with her self-titled album, tour, and all around body of work.

Taylor Swift

Where is Taylor Swift? I’m sorry Taylor. I’m going to let you finish but Beyoncé had the best video of all time…

I’m Too Sexy for My: Who Are the Highest Paid Supermodels?

Right Said Fred created the I’m Too Sexy video in 1992. It was an instant hit. Now every model knows the words to I’m Too Sexy verbatim.

As you know, I study economics. Well, supermodels are the definition of high demand. There is a real talent shortage.

If you want to be a model, you need thick skin and a thin waist. You’ll get picked apart if you’re not careful. That’s why I admire models for their confidence.

Sometimes supermodels come off as arrogant. But that’s not the case. In their line of work, a strong ego is a requirement.

I admire models for their work ethic. Picture the hours of hard work that go into modeling. A model must spend countless hours in front of flashing cameras.

That’s not all. She has to count her calories. And, a model must exercise like a racehorse.

If a model tries her best, she is compensated accordingly.

Modeling agencies carefully choose the bodies that get to strut on the catwalk. If you’re too fragile, don’t apply. If you’re too sexy, then let’s go ahead and get it done.

If you are an aspiring model, don’t quit. Remember, there’s a big reward. Here are the 10 highest paid models…

10. Lara Stone

There’s no denying the Dutch beauty Lara Stone. The blonde model is the 10th highest paid internationally. She is known for her lucrative Calvin Klein jeans contract.

In total, Lara Stone earned $3.2 million. She has a good name and is very valuable. Calvin Klein can’t afford to drop her.

9. Candice Swanepoel

Candice Swanepoel is 9th with earnings totaling $3.3 million. She does work for Versace, Juicy Couture and Max Factor. At 5’10” and age 25, Candice’s stock is rising.

She’s too sexy for her skirt. Maxim named her number 1 on the Hot 100 list.  If you didn’t know who Candice Swanepoel was, now you do!

8. Joan Smalls

Joan Smalls is a steady name in the business. She’s accustomed to making lists. This time she is number 8.

The sexy supermodel tallied a total of $3.5 million. At 5’11” and age 25, Joan’s purse is fattening. If you love numbers, then you love Joan.

Model Carolyn Murphy comes in at 7th. Modeling is a lucky way celebrities make money. Click here to read more.

Carolyn made $3.6 million before taxes. She is known for dealing with Estée Lauder and Project Runway. Also, she has contracts with: Coach, Ann Taylor Loft and Carlo Pazolini.

6. Hilary Rhoda

Hilary Rhoda made $4 million modeling. She earned it endorsing Nike, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren and Victoria’s Secret. The brunette walks to the bank with style and grace.

Hilary’s Twitter and Instagram stay active. The 27 year-old 5’11” model keeps her body of work busy. This busybody’s work ethic is the key to her success.

5. Liu Wen

Chinese model Liu Wen made $4.3 million. At number 5, Liu is China’s finest. She’s 5’11’’ and 26 years old.

At the age of 40, Kate still dominates the business. She has signed long-term deals with Vogue Eyewear, Rimmel, Versace, and Liu-Jo. No wonder she’s loaded!

3. Adriana Lima

The Brazilian babe is too sexy for that commercial. Bob Dylan is in awe. This is just one of Adriana’s many successful ads.

She puts some pep in her step when she struts. You see if you stick with it like Miranda, you too can receive the big reward. Smart work pays dividends.

Final Thoughts

As I noted in Celebrity Rag Riches, you can’t go wrong with the fashion industry. Models are naturally pulled in the direction of fashion and entertainment. It’s easy to see how the industries connect.

I thought Kate Upton would make the top 10. But, I have faith in Forbes’ numbers. So, look for Kate next time.

The modeling industry is highly competitive. Dare I say it is cutthroat and ruthless? All these models make it look easy.

The fact is it takes more than sheer sexiness to make it in the modeling world. You have to possess a combination of factors. Do you have what it takes?

Don’t ever fear rejection. Where one door closes, another door opens. Remember, you must fail in order to succeed.

The top 10 highest paid models earned $82.8 million total. That’s right, Gisele Bündchen made more money than the other 9 combined. It’s not too surprising considering she owns a lingerie line. And, she’s too sexy for her skirt…

Clothes are a basic need. Fashion is a want or desire. Luxury is a gift.

My motto is… to each his own. Pick your poison.  If you want to look nice, by all means dress for success

Fashion is poisonous. Walk into a fashionista’s closet; and, you’ll swear it was a warehouse. You’ll find belts, boots, scarfs, and anything fashionable.

Aim to be the best dressed. Mark Twain said: “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.” So invest in a nice wardrobe.

Your apparel says a lot about you. You are what you wear. Do you wear tacky clothes? Are you wearing mismatched shoes?

We all have a sister who splurges on the fancy things. She owns 100 pairs of shoes. And, she is part owner of Zappos. Shoes are the main suspects.

The question is how can someone spend so much money on luxurious brands. In my article, I hope to answer this question and more. I’ll show you how celebrities are culprits.

Rachel Zoe sets the stage for celebrity stylists. If you’re a player in the industry, then Rachel is on your radar. The Rachel Zoe Project helps build and expand her brand.

The fashion designer launched her clothing line in 2011. She collected $20 million in sales. Her husband Roger Berman is CEO of the company. Do you see a trend?

She is a really good singer. What is more, Beckham is an even better businesswoman. She has magnetic charm.

The urban community embraces Diddy’s brand Sean John without a doubt. Diddy has diversified and that helps maintain his cash flow. Forbes loves him…do you?

#3 Jessica Simpson


The former reality TV star makes more money with her clothing line than with her music. The Jessica Simpson Collection has racked in over $750 million of revenue. She has big boots to fill. 

There’s a catch to Jessica Simpson’s clothing line success. Simpson is absent from country music. That’s why Taylor Swift is bigger than Moses.

The model Kimora Lee Simmons made over $800 million in sales as a fashion designer. This level of success in the fashion industry is extremely rare. She struts beauty on the runway. And she has brains built for business at the headquarters.

Celebrities secretly envy the Olsen family. Their clothing line empire is the cream of the crop. They have built the toughest celebrity fashion brand.

Also, Christian Dior and Hermès are among the iconic international luxury brands. Celebrity clothing lines contribute a great deal to the profitable apparel industry. If you have a good idea, there’s no need to worry about going out of business. You’re always in high demand.

These days, ‘rags to riches’ is rare. ‘Riches to rags’ is the norm. But still, where there is a will there is a way.
