Tim McGraw Vs. Garth Brooks

You can only have one. Who do you choose between Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks? Who do you believe is better? I think Tim McGraw wins in the long term, but right now Garth Brooks is the best man for the job.

My motto is “may the best man win.” Moreover, May We All McGraw is letting Garth Brooks outshine him these days. You see Garth Brooks is greater in the short term. His Amazon commercials demonstrate his ability to generate massive appeal. Where are the McGraw advertisements, seriously? Maybe, I’m missing the placements.

For what it’s worth, Tim McGraw has won one more Grammy than Garth Brooks (3 to 2). However, Brooks has earned 22 Academy of Country Music Awards compared to McGraw’s 14. What does this say about the two country music singers? Maybe, McGraw is more mainstream and Brooks is true country.

Both celebrities deserve respect because they are legends. Is this the Luke Bryan Vs. Blake Shelton argument all over again? Luke and Blake are legends in the making. But I believe they would rather be in McGraw’s shoes than Brooks’ boots.

It is important to pay tribute to legends while they are still here. These days celebrities are becoming scarce. In 2016, we lost a plethora of legendary entertainers. Let’s appreciate who we have and show some respect. In the words of Garth Brooks, we have to appreciate them as “if tomorrow never comes.”

What’s wrong with comparing celebrities? Entertainment is about having fun and escaping from harsh realities. Besides, competition makes for better music.

Let’s go back to the question at hand. Remember, you can only have one. The answer depends on whether you want your steak rare or well done.

I don’t mind waiting for the flower to bloom, so I choose Tim McGraw. McGraw is a sensible choice for a guru, who loves Country. I’ll take my time meditating, then I’ll listen to Tim sing.

Country music fans were treated to awesomeness in 2016. This year couldn’t have been better for country. There were literally dozens of great releases. What beats Blake Shelton’s She’s Got A Way With Words? Keep reading and find out. In this edition, I will name the top 5 country music songs of 2016. Without further ado, let’s start the countdown.

5. Setting the World on Fire By: Kenny Chesney Featuring Pink

Can Kenny Chesney make a hit or what? The man never swings at balls. What is more, he hits homeruns on music’s diamond. Setting the World on Fire starts the countdown because it’s my theme music. When you don’t know what to do, set the world on fire. Find someone special to do it with and you’re all set. Chesney smartly picked Pink to feature. Who are you picking?

4. Dirty Laundry By: Carrie Underwood

The perfect 10 singerdoesn’t mind doing dirty laundry. She’ll just have to hang you out to dry. Dirty Laundry is my favorite 2016 single by Carrie Underwood. She sings with a lot of passion.

Don’t you love Carrie? She knows how to please fans. Her vocals are on another scale. I encourage you to listen to Dirty Laundry.

3. May We All By: Florida Georgia Line Featuring Tim McGraw

Florida Georgia Line is making waves in country music. They understand their fans and vice versa. Teaming up with Tim McGraw was an intelligent move. Moreover, May We All contains a strong message. You see life is a race and sometimes you got to pull your foot off the gas and put it on the break. I can’t think of many more 2016 songs as awesome as May We All.

2. She’s Got A Way With Words By: Blake Shelton

2nd on my list is She’s Got A Way With Words By: Blake Shelton. The Voice coach has trained his voice to reach higher degrees. There’s something chilly and hot about She’s Got A Way With Words. This could have easily been the number one song. Blake belts out this ballad with fire on his tongue. You’d think he were a dragon.

1. Middle of A Memory By: Cole Swindell

The number one country song of 2016 is Cole Swindell’s Middle of A Memory. I believe this is Cole Swindell at his absolute best. Even William Shakespeare couldn’t have written more eloquent lyrics. Plus, the instrumental tells a story of its own. If you have ever been in love, you want to play Middle of a Memory right now.

This is it for the Top 5 country music songs of 2016. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed.

The Urban Legend of Taylor Swift

Why has Taylor Swift abandoned country for pop music? Taylor is a great singer who used to sing ballads to Tim McGraw and Toby Keith. What happened?
4 years ago Beyoncé and Jay Z couldn’t care less about Taylor Swift.  Now, they’re hanging out together. What’s happening?
If Swift stayed country, she’d be richer. Remember there are riches in niches. Country is profitable because there isn’t a lot of competition. Still, country can only take Taylor so far because it only sells in America.
I predict Taylor Swift will go back to country when she’s older. Pop music targets teenagers not senior citizens. So, Taylor is rapidly expanding her fan base.
Yes, she’s losing a few fans but she’s gaining more. I wonder how she reached 72 million Facebook likes and 49 million Twitter followers. What is the price of fame?
Are you a Swiftie? I don’t want to pretend like I’m a fan. I admire Taylor. I don’t hold anything against the superstar. But, she belongs to country.
Urban Legend
I finally figured out the Taylor Swift riddle. It is not about money. She wants to be an Urban Legend.
You see country music fans reside in rural areas. Mainstream music fans live in urban areas. If Taylor wants fans in Japan, she’ll have to fly to Tokyo.
The best fans are in Metropolis places such as Los Angeles, New York, and London.  It makes sense that she’s a New York ambassador. While other celebrities play charades with fans, Taylor Swift is playing chess.
