As summer halts, I reflect on an entertaining season filled with surprises. Who could have predicted all this? Thus, let’s look forward to autumn.
When the leaves fall it feels like music to me. Seasoned musicians Rita Ora and Lana Del Rey give us plenty of love and happiness. Although Rita isn’t 25 yet, she’s been active in the entertainment industry since 2007. Moreover, Lana Del Rey- formerly known as Lizzy Grant- has entertained fans for more than a decade.

Both singers bring it differently. Lana’s vocals lay back gently, while Rita exploits her hardcore throat. They’re in the spotlight because of their originality.
Do you love fast or slow songs better? Does it depend on your mood? What are your favorite songs and music videos?
You admire celebrities because they drive themselves to the brink. Jaguar received a big boost by putting Lana Del Rey out front. Remember Rita Ora is also a commercial success.


 
Currently under contact with Roc Nation, Rita is an under-appreciated asset. I’m under the impression she has a higher profile by design. Plus, Ora’s brand appeals to everyone.
Singers prefer privacy. You see concerts include Fandoms alongside stalkers. As a result, Lana is more intimate with fans than her Roc Nation contemporary.
An oracle said, “Pick your poison.” Becoming famous is a stressful process. I believe the Poison singer has figured out her purpose and is taking necessary steps.

The British born celeb is collecting English Music Royalties. Rita resembles Rihanna and M.I.A. Lana falls between Kellie Pickler and Kelly Clarkson. I like how Lana lets her lyrics roll off the tongue.
While tanning, I listen to Lana. However, at the beach house party, I choose Rita. The Young and Beautiful songstress is not restless but relaxed. Though Rita is hotter, Lana stays cool.

Enter into my time machine. Let’s enjoy 80s entertainment. The world was so much different and so much the same as now.
Music reached a creative climax around 1988. Movies saw a boost from graphics and special effects with Star Wars and Disney films. Although there was a recession, musicians like Michael Jackson and Madonna, and movie stars such as: Clint Eastwood and Eddie Murphy thrived as the entertainment business boomed.
Did you know President Ronald Reagan was an actor before becoming Governor of California and Leader of the Free World? Plus, radio and television entertained millions before the World Wide Web ever existed. It was a much simpler time.
Kids were bullied the old fashioned way. There was no such thing as SnapChat. They had pagers or beepers back then. You actually called people on their home phone lines.
Nowadays text and email make communicating impersonal. Online bullies hide behind supposed anonymity and avatars. Still, my iPhone and your Android is kind of awesome.

Defy odds by taking chances. Look at Oprah. A few years ago, Oprah launched the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) with Discovery Communications as a partner. She gambled and thankfully OWN is profitable.
The first program I watched on this network was Master Class. The guest was none other than Jay Z. Without Jay Z, I doubt Kanye West would have a great rap career. With Jay Z, Kanye West’s status elevated.
People attribute Jay Z to a rags to riches success story. I own Blueprints 1 and 2. If you have Blue Print 3, can I borrow it?

You see Jay Z defies odds and takes chances everyday. So people believe in him because he exudes confidence or as he calls it “swagger.” How many folks dream about meeting Oprah, let alone get interviewed by her?

I often fantasize about the future and apply my thoughts to the present. While I reflect on the past, I don’t concentrate on regrets. Roc Nation Sports is a major imprint because of the founder’s fearless attitude.

Jay Z was made in the 80s. Like entertainment he is a business. Learn from him and start strategizing. Jay Z not only mastered the art of music making, but also the science of making money.

Why You Love the Soulful Sound of Melanie Fiona

If it was 4 AM on Saturday and Melanie Fiona was my girlfriend, worrying about my whereabouts would be the last thing on her mind. There’s a good chance after a year or so together, I would put a ring on it. Plus, I’d heal her bruised heart the best way I could.
I’m more attracted to a sweet voice than a pretty smile because you can’t fake the former at least when it comes to singing. I’ve seen many fake smiling faces masquerading behind their makeups and cosmetics. Based on experience love is all about communication.
Like Mya said: Get to know me…”cause I’m more than a souvenir on your trophy case. Love me like a woman.”

 

There is something sincere yet sensual about singing a perfect note and carrying a flawless tune. Melanie has a dynamic style, excellent vocal range along with awesome clarity. The Lucious Lyon sound presented by Cookie Lyon doesn’t have shit on Melanie Fiona. 
Does it help that Melanie Fiona looks like a 25-year-old Halle Berry? Absolutely, but I’ll mainly discuss her fine singing abilities. Isn’t it obvious Melanie makes amazing music?
Right now Melanie Fiona has produced 2 studio albums over 7 years. She had an unfavorable contract, so her situation is understandable. Because of her deal with Roc Nation, you should expect more production from this star.

Fiona sounds like a modern day Tina Turner mixed with Billie Holiday and Etta James. First off, Canadians must be proud because she took her Grammy and music awards back to her hometown of Toronto. Second, there are not many female musicians capable of matching her soulfulness. In the soul genre, Fiona sits in a class instructed by Lauryn Hill. Her classmates include Alicia Keys, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and Jazmine Sullivan.
