K-Pop’s BLACKPINK Is Taking Over the World

In August 2016, BLACKPINK was created out of stardust. Guru Jay Entertainment turned two years old. When stars are born, it’s a complicated process. Just ask Lady Gaga and Destiny’s Child. Have you heard of the Beyoncé formation? You see, there were four music stars born on that illustrious summer night. They were and are more than singers and dancers. They are celebrities. They are Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The question is are you excited about K-Pop’s takeover? Are you listening to the good vibrations in today’s music? K-Pop’s BLACKPINK is taking over the world beginning in Bangkok, Thailand.

Like Destiny’s Child, BLACKPINK appeals to a large fanbase. Can’t you see how much their hard work has paid off? Every music video comes close to perfection. YG Entertainment formed a four-member girl group with everlasting star power. Listen! This group has gone beyond K-Pop and risen to a momentous occasion and only time will tell how far their music glory will travel. Presently, I’m a long way from Asia. Right now, BLACKPINK is on the BORN PINK World Tour Asia. With all that’s going on: the album which debuted September 16, 2022, the Coachella festival headliner news, everything couldn’t be more perfect.

Have you heard about all the planets aligning in December? And NASA discovered the first exoplanet just yesterday with the James Webb telescope. What is written in the stars? The truth is BLACKPINK makes my palms sweaty and gives my gut butterflies. Each one of them is gorgeous. As Guru Jay, I am going to do my part and let the stars shine.

Music makes the world go ’round. Hear what I’m saying, now. Everything can potentially become music to your ears. The way she speaks to you in that special tone is music. The way our car engine rumbles is music.

Guru Jay thinks he has figured out the world. Let me elaborate some more. Let’s start the show!

Today’s blog is all about music and greatness. Who is the greatest music artist? Maybe, Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Prince in that order.

A better question is who’s music makes the world go ’round the most. I feel that’s a difficult question to answer because first of all what defines the world? Are we living under the same sun but in two different worlds?

I’ve climbed a different mountain than you. I’ve seen Hollywood stars through a different set of lens. Did you know I wear glasses? Not prescription but sunglasses because I’m cool. And you ladies and gents are the coolest fans on the Planet Earth. I know I’ve got some cool fans on Mars by now. Shout out to Elon Musk and Google.

Where are my Michael Jackson fans? You all are the most precious on the globe. Happy Belated Halloween! Because this is “Thriller, Thriller, Night. You’re fighting for your life!”

Maybe, Prince was the greatest because he owned all his work. The artist known by a symbol was a true businessman. He left behind wealth in terms of financial and musical.

Maybe, nobody can be better than Elvis. In total, Elvis sold approximately 1 billion records. So it’s safe to say if alive he would be a billionaire. What is more, he has nearly 1 billion fans. It seems like there a billion Presley impersonators. Plus,the Blue Suede shoe salesman leads a quarter million Twitter followers.

Michael Jackson has 76 million Facebook likes. Prince made Purple Rain and the rest is history. To conclude, I’ve come to a conclusion that Elvis, Michael Jackson and Prince made the world go ’round with their music.

Beyoncé Vs. Alicia Keys

Who’s better between Beyoncé and Alicia Keys? Is Alicia Keys the best singer and Beyoncé the best entertainer? I feel Alicia’s singing is superior although Queen Bee has got a big Ego. Jokes aside, Beyoncé gives everything to you.
If I had to pick, I’d chose Beyoncé 10 times out of 10. She delivers the total package in the form of singing plus dancing. She mesmerizes you on the dance floor.
Alicia doesn’t dance enough. Gratefully, she plays the keyboard though. Can you picture Alicia as your waitress? “Give me the special with the hot chocolate” all night. You Don’t Know My Name
Look, Beyoncé is on another planet right now. She’s in the news nonstop because of Lemonade. But Alicia Keys just released In Common yesterday. Without question, it is a hot single. What is more, you can pull it up on YouTube/ Vevo and listen to the New York girl.

Maybe Keys should have waited to put out her song. Rihanna postponed her plans for Adele’s album. Is Alicia Keys stepping on Beyoncé’s toes or using her as a steppingstone? By all accounts they seem like BFFs. But we’re talking about the music industry here, aren’t we?
The entertainment value of Beyoncé and Alicia Keys is extraordinary. I know it is unfair to compare Beyoncé and Alicia Keys… but life is unfair, isn’t it?
The Beyoncé takeover is in full effect. She’s my #1 favorite pop star and this won’t change any time soon. Alicia Keys makes my top 10 too. For the record, I own both their albums.
Still, Beyoncé isn’t flawless; “She’s a bitch in the morning. We don’t know why we love her.” Yes, Alicia Keys sings the best, but Beyoncé is the best singer.
It’s not always about hitting the high notes. Sometimes it’s more important to hit that low note.

Why Cher Is Amazing

Remember Alicia Silverstone played Cher and Stacey Dash was Dionne in Clueless. Stacey was named after superstar Dionne Warwick. And Alicia was named after the one and only Cher.

Good things happened in the 1990s. In the words of Cher “If I could turn back time…” I would warp us into 1995. Then, we’ll party like it’s 1999. R.I.P. Prince.

Do you notice how many great music artists go by 1 name? What if movie stars did the same thing? Imagine 23 Jump Street starring Channing and Jonah. #23 Michael appears in a cameo scene.

The main point is: there’s only one Cher. All the others are just imitators. So won’t the real Cher please stand up? S/O Eminem.

Like Barbra Streisand, the Cher sound is larger than life. Her vocal chords stretches to the highest degree. She owned the 1970s. We could also time travel to that era and save Jimi Hendrix.

 
Currently Cher leads 5 million Twitter and 
Facebook followers. She has sold more than
100 million records. Plus this celebrity has a net 
worth exceeding $305 million.

It’s easy to admire Cher because her career is admirable. Fans and musicians (of all stages) adore her beautiful art. You can spend the whole music appreciation class discussing her records and concerts. Who wouldn’t mind listening to a lecture on this singer?

There’s a certain boldness and rich quality to her voice. She’s finely tuned like a Steinway Grand Piano. It’s as if the one of a kind celebrity tickles the ebonies and ivories with her tonsils. How sure are we that her throat doesn’t have keys?

Teacher Appreciation Day

Alicia Keys and Beyoncé can teach Nicki Minaj. Mariah Carey can teach Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor. Rihanna and Lady Gaga can teach Miley Cyrus. Last but not least, Cher can teach the teachers.

I feel Cher inspires maybe even Madonna. Plus 
the El Centro, California homegirl inspires the 
world. Applaud her fearlessness and courage to
take on challenges.

Why Katy Perry Gives Us Exactly What We Desire

In the beginning, Katy Perry was rubberstamped. Fans never had a problem with Katy. Perry isn’t perfect but she is exactly what we desire. She doesn’t reveal everything but she shows just enough to make you wonder.
It’s like watching a modern day Elizabeth Taylor sing on a microphone in her prime. Rarely do singers look better than actresses in bikinis. Make an exception for Katy Perry. Who wants to see her perform on the silver screen?
I think the California Gurl would be a pretty good actress. I mean she’s not going to take Julia Robert’s spot but she can take Jessica Alba’s place. Under the proper guidance, this celebrity can blossom.
Here in America, Memorial Day and Independence Day are approaching. We celebrate first and foremost by: stopping and smelling the roses, barbecuing next, later soaking up the sun, and then listening to Katy Perry music.

Who remembers the John Mayer and Katy Perry Who You Love duet? Wasn’t that special? Do you think she should do one with Justin Timberlake?
I dedicated a couple hours to watching KatyPerryVevo on YouTube. My favorite from today was The One That Got Away. It’s been a while since the last time I seen it. Sometimes we could use a small reminder. Otis Redding said it best, “All you gotta do is try, try a little tenderness…”
In one word Katy Perry is: PHENOMENAL. Her throat is a glorious vessel. Katy Perry does anything to please her fans. There isn’t a finer entertainer in showbiz. This is for you my number 1.

Why There Is No One Like Alicia Keys

No One, Like You Never See Me Again, and Unthinkable are my favorite Alicia Keys songs. When I want to slow it down, I listen to Alicia’s music. I believe she’s a modern day Roberta Flack and Gladys Knight.
Do you love her new braids? The Doesn’t Mean Anythingsinger doesn’t mind throwing it back. Isn’t she wonderful? Did you know she’s part Italian?
Some people compare her to Beyoncé and Mariah Carey. However, she should be recognized for her uniqueness. Acknowledge this amazing music artist on her own merits. 
First, the mother of two nurtures her crowds. The celebrity cares deeply about humanity. That’s why whenever she accepts an award she raises awareness about pressing issues.

Secondly, she writes the best lyrics in the music business. In addition, Alicia’s melodies are catchy. Fans know that it’s nearly impossible getting her songs out of your head.
For the record, I’ve been an Alicia Keys supporter forever. You Don’t Know My Name, Fallin‘, and If I Ain’t Got You were my jams back in the day. The singer is especially poetic.
Third, she sings with purpose. She strives to shine her light. These days the world is very dark. Alicia Keys is a bright spot on the map.

The sweetheart gives hope. You know it’s about to get good when Keys sits at that piano. There is no one like Alicia Keys. She is the crème de la crème.
Finally, I appreciate her softness and diligence. Her pitch and tone are pleasing to the ears. She is not a bad actress either. Like singer/actress Lena Horne she’s got rhythm.
I wonder if Mya and Ashanti would mind opening for Alicia Keys. What if the three of them formed a music group? From New York to Japan, fans love attending Alicia’s concerts.
Nothing compares to Alicia Keys at her finest.

I believe Christina Aguilera is The Voice. I could listen to Christina’s music all day long. A replica of her vocal chords should be stored at the Library of Congress.
Moreover, the Beautiful songstress sounds incredible and looks gorgeous. Do you think she is a sex symbol? In the words of Stevie Wonder, isn’t she lovely?

Her voice roars and her belly rumbles. She doesn’t need a gym to get rock solid abs, because the Genie In A Bottle belly dances for fun.

What are your favorite Xtina songs? Do you like Your Body, Dirrty, and Candyman? You’ll discover she has a bevy of hits in her discography.
Like Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, sister was born with soul. Who recalls Christina’s tribute to Etta James? She’s given enough soulful performances to last centuries.

Plus, who doesn’t want singing lessons from Christina Aguilera? There’s no reason why Xtina shouldn’t coach singers on The Voice. Isn’t it time to relieve Blake Sheltonof his duties?

This blonde bombshell is too good to ignore. She’s achieved both commercial and critical success.

The Voice is confronting similar dilemmas as The View. You can’t keep shuffling personalities without backlash. Producers should learn from American Idol’s mistakes.
All throughout high school and college American Idolwas my preferred show. Then, something happened. Simon Cowell left and the rest is history.
Fans are opened to change, but too much is bad for business. In other words, cashiers must count every penny.

If Mimi is lightning, Xtina is thunder. Like Lauryn Hill and Janet Jackson, she is naturally phenomenal. In a nutshell, Christina Aguilera is The Voice because she’ll always be imitated, but never duplicated.
