Aren’t you tired of all these catchy commercialized pop songs? All they are just jingles. They may sell like bubblegum but don’t market it to me as music. Call it Juicy Fruit for all I care.
When the wind blows and there’s a thunderstorm, that’s true music. We yearn to hear the lion’s roar for a change. Music should be a natural gift not a Christmas present.
Thankfully, great musicians still exist. Sam Smith is one of the greatest singers alive. I had to unplug my headphones when I listened to him today because his music must be absorbed and not constrained.
I published a piece called English Music Royalties you will enjoy. Sam Smith puts his heart and soul into each note. It’s easy to tell that the remarkable music artist is passionate about his craft. Plus, his fans love him to death.
The English musician is a classic storyteller. If Hemmingway could sing how he wrote, he would sing like Sam Smith. I know Shakespeare would appreciate Writing’s On The Wall. Like Stephen King, who can write anything and make it great, Sam Smith can sing anything and make it great.
Can you imagine Smith singing See You Again? Charlie Puth said in an interview that his sensational song was meant for Sam Smith. I’m actually glad Smith let Puth do it in a way, because that was Puth’s big break. You see Sam Smith isn’t a vulture.
Moreover, he doesn’t need to stab somebody in the back to get ahead. Although the music business may be cutthroat, Mr. Smith is not. He’s only clean-shaven. Anyway, even when he grows out a beard it’s always neat.
2 words describe Sam Smith: Class and Professionalism. The celebrity distinguishes himself from average entertainers because he never settles for mediocrity. Smith strives for perfection.
I believe in striving for perfection through practice. Greatness comes after purposeful preparation. You want a better world, then built it. Construct places filled with positive people. You’re a composite of the people you talk to and spend your time with the most. Avoid negative and pessimistic individuals who minimize your contributions, and seek out new friends who will lift you up.

Is Nick Jonas the Future Justin Timberlake?

Spotlights don’t scare Nick Jonas. The Disney alum/ Jonas brother was born and bred for music’s sake. Although Halloween might be over, Nick is a ‘trick or treat’ to millions upon millions of fans everyday.
Right now, I’m blogging about the Levelssinger because Jealous is stuck in my frontal lobe. If you didn’t know already, it’s the celebrity’s right to be hellish. That’s why he still gets jealous.
And Jonas isn’t a one hit wonder either.

With his momentum and potential, he can realistically become the future Justin Timberlake. They share several similarities. Both are Disney alums and products of boy bands. Plus, countless girls scream at their concerts and chant their names in cohesion.
To compete with Justin though, Nick needs to play in major movie productions. I also like to hear him sing longer songs like Timberlake’s Mirrors, What Goes Around, and TKO. But make no mistake, Jonas can croon.
The young entertainer is getting better with time. It’s clear he possesses the expertise. Currently, Nick is gaining the necessary experience to catapult his extraordinary career.

You see Nick doesn’t need to take a backseat to nobody. He can ride shotgun on his tour bus or inside his classic Mustang. What is more, he seems prepared for anything.
Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas go on the Future Now tour this summer. Who is buying and reserving tickets? Count on these shows selling out quickly, because Lovato and Jonas have great history  as well as chemistry.
It is important for elite celebs to get along for entertainment purposes. If there is one thing Jonas has shown us, it is his uncanny ability to collaborate. Everyone understands music superstars carry egos the size of Saturn (the planet, not the car). And so, Nick’s “Mr. Nice Guy” persona is an intangible asset.

Who Wins? Justin Bieber Vs. Selena Gomez

You must look at the glass half-empty and half-full. In other words, the pros need the cons and the Beliebers need the Biebs. So, why expect Selenators to standby while Justin dates Gomez’s archrival Ariana Grande?

I believe Bieber and Grande make a more perfect union. In the long run, Grande and Gomez will likely pass up Justin financially and in popularity. You see Grande churns out hits like butter. And Selena can fall back on acting.
Does the name Jennifer Lopez click? I don’t proclaim soothsaying superpowers. All I offer you are opinions and predictions on this subject. 

Justin Bieber could prove everyone wrong and make several smashing hits in the future. Frankly, I’m tired of everybody riding Justin hard, when it’s not his fault. Can you picture the spotlight shining on you at age 14?
Think about all the stupid stuff teenagers do. So, on the one hand, I say give Bieber a break. On the other hand, I say where is Justin’s number 1 hit record?
Here’s what happened. His managers accelerated his follower count. You saw the same thing happen with Meghan Trainor. Trust me, you don’t want instant fame because like John Lennon so elegantly sang, “Instant karma’s gonna get you.”
If you are an aspiring entertainer or celebrity, don’t buy their bullshit. You’ll hear them claim, “I can get you 100 million views.” Here’s my advice. If you can get famous in a day, you can get destroyed in a day.
Take your time and grow a true fan base. Yes, social media is an awesome and useful tool, but getting better at your talent is more important. Plus, you need to improve your skills before it’s too late.

Do you want to rock out with Pink or Avril Lavigne? What are your favorite Pink and Avril Lavigne songs and music videos? Pink gets up in your face, while Avril plays hard to get. It feels like they’re both 40 year olds because their careers have been huge successes.
I believe Pink is the best performer. She’ll do anything to please the crowd. Still, Lavigne is more popular because of her Canadian roots.
You see this happens all the time. Talented Canadians take over the entertainment world. Take Drake and Justin Bieber for instance.
If Justin were from Boston instead of Toronto, he’d have an average career. I’m not advocating becoming a Canadian citizen. All I am saying is Avril has a significant advantage over Pink because of her background.
Pink originates from the city of Brotherly Love. Philadelphia proudly calls her daughter. The great musician represents her hometown well.

If blondes have more fun, that explains why Avril is always jumping. Like Pink she controls crowds by pandering to their desires. But I want to rock out with Avril because she’s more energetic.

Plus, Avril Lavigne is sexier. In the entertainment industry, sex appeal counts. Pink is sexy too, but in a different way.
Now I like Pink’s style because she grinds harder than most entertainers. Her music videos are better. However, I appreciate Avril’s consistency. You never know what to expect from Pink.
Pink is worth watching though, because she executes daring stunts. Do you remember when she sang while being suspended in the air at the Grammys? I believe Pink can fly!
On a serious tip, Pink makes socially relevant music. She champions causes such as animal rights. Did you notice she’s wearing a PETA shirt in the photo? Avril Lavigne is also a PETA supporter.

Right now Katy Perry leads 68.5 million Twitter followers. After many years of recording music and touring the world, Perry is finally reaping financial benefits and tasting the fruits of her labor. In Maslow’s hierarchy, the California girl is self-actualizing.
Katy Perry became number 1 on Twitter by building an evergreen brand. In this “Age of Ultron,” Katy’s ironclad reputation resembles Avenger actor Robert Downey. What would qualify Katy as Iron Woman?
Furthermore, 5 Years later everyone still listens to Firework because the lyrics are explosive and timeless. The music artist accelerates her voice like a Hennessey Venom GT. Plus, the outside the box thinker creates unique shows and makes awesome music videos.

 
The Prismatic World Tour lets Katy Perry shine light. Katy connects with everybody because her songs relate to granddaddy and granddaughter. Moreover, the popular musician delivers positive messages.

There is only one Katy Perry. Music fans appreciate the superstar’s originality. That’s why she sells out crowds as large as 90,000.

The voluptuous dark haired beauty and Dark Horse singer is one of the sexiest women alive. Apparently, I’m not the only man who’s attracted to a pleasing voice. Currently, Maxim magazine ranks Katy Perry number 3 on their Hot 100, right behind Scarlett Johansson and Candice Swanepoel, and ahead of Irina Shayk. Now that’s tough competition.

The Hot and Cold songstress was recently dating country/rock star John Mayer. Who You Love is a beautiful duet that deeply conveys Mayer’s emotions and Perry’s passions. Celebrities constantly make headlines for the wrong reasons; but Katy is an exception because the preacher’s kid is wholesome. Parents don’t mind their children playing Perry’s music because she leads by example.

Believe it or not, many celebrities enjoy their private worlds. Unless you’re a reality star like Kourtney Kardashian or Kendall Jenner, you don’t desire to sign autographs while spending family time. Because Janet Jackson keeps to herself, it’s rare seeing the superstar caught up in a scandal. That’s why Jackson’s Super Bowl scene is out of the ordinary.
The beautiful Janet looks like a cross between Beyoncé and Halle Berry. She’s very conscious about appearances. Moreover, Miss Jackson is famous in her own right and not just Michael Jackson’s sister.
When I was a teenager I watched Jackson’s music videos all day long on MTV and VH1. She has the best choreography. Plus, she is an amazing dancer.
The ultimate entertainer must master many molds of entertainment. That’s why Janet is a trained actress. She started on Good Times as a little girl. Now, the Poetic Justice star has played in 3 Tyler Perry movies.
No one gets on her level just because of sexiness. Yes, the All for You singer cleans up nicely, but she commands the scene as well. People need icons to celebrate, and Jackson definitely meets the criteria.
Ideally, celebrities operate on a higher plane. When you’re as famous as Janet you can’t engage in every battle. We all should live by Janet’s motto. Next time when you and your partner get into an argument just ask them “What have you done for me lately?”
Janet Jackson markets her brand like Prince. She makes moves when, where, and how she wants. It takes guts to stand up to the Paparazzi. Janet doesn’t play their game or feed into their maniacal questions.
Although the former Virgin label singer is quiet and shy, she is also exotic and mysterious.

When my Usher album won’t suffice, I listen to Mystery of Iniquity singer Lauryn Hill. I admire Lauryn because she created her own category. The Ex Factor was one of the first female singers/rappers.

Although Lauryn Hill has a sweet smile, she frowns on corporate politics. Kanye West said it best “I wish her heart was still in rhyming.” Her time with the Fugees was valuable. Remember Killing Me Softly, Nothing Even Matters, and Doo-Wop (That Thing). Don’t forget Lauryn was one of the most celebrated singers in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 
1998’s the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill went number 1. And 2002’s MTV Unplugged No 2.0 was number 2. Furthermore, Hill received numerous awards for her music. While Lauryn’s work is scarce, she is strong. What’s more, she influences today’s music artists.
Lauryn lets it all go to the point she bares her soul. On the other hand, Janet Jackson gives you just enough so you’ll come back for more. I would like to see a Lauryn and Janet collaborative concert. 

Lauryn Hill and Janet Jackson are successful in different ways. Yet, they are one and the same. If Janet is a hurricane, then Lauryn Hill is a tornado.

Why You Love the Soulful Sound of Melanie Fiona

If it was 4 AM on Saturday and Melanie Fiona was my girlfriend, worrying about my whereabouts would be the last thing on her mind. There’s a good chance after a year or so together, I would put a ring on it. Plus, I’d heal her bruised heart the best way I could.
I’m more attracted to a sweet voice than a pretty smile because you can’t fake the former at least when it comes to singing. I’ve seen many fake smiling faces masquerading behind their makeups and cosmetics. Based on experience love is all about communication.
Like Mya said: Get to know me…”cause I’m more than a souvenir on your trophy case. Love me like a woman.”

 

There is something sincere yet sensual about singing a perfect note and carrying a flawless tune. Melanie has a dynamic style, excellent vocal range along with awesome clarity. The Lucious Lyon sound presented by Cookie Lyon doesn’t have shit on Melanie Fiona. 
Does it help that Melanie Fiona looks like a 25-year-old Halle Berry? Absolutely, but I’ll mainly discuss her fine singing abilities. Isn’t it obvious Melanie makes amazing music?
Right now Melanie Fiona has produced 2 studio albums over 7 years. She had an unfavorable contract, so her situation is understandable. Because of her deal with Roc Nation, you should expect more production from this star.

Fiona sounds like a modern day Tina Turner mixed with Billie Holiday and Etta James. First off, Canadians must be proud because she took her Grammy and music awards back to her hometown of Toronto. Second, there are not many female musicians capable of matching her soulfulness. In the soul genre, Fiona sits in a class instructed by Lauryn Hill. Her classmates include Alicia Keys, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and Jazmine Sullivan.
