The lean Lenny Kravitz grabs headlines because his music motivates others to go on a diet. Guitar Hero developers had his image in mind when creating their popular video game. I still remember the first time I played Guitar Hero in a college apartment. It was addicting.
Lenny Kravitz is living the good life. The American Woman singer is fulfilling the American Dream.
I’m a long time fan. For a major part of last week, I’ve listened to Lenny Kravitz’s CDs and read several articles about the rock star. He has an interesting story.


When he first started his record label told him he didn’t sing “black” or “white” enough. As you know, Lenny Kravitz is half African and half Jewish. Fortunately, someone else’s doubt didn’t stop the musician from making music.
Today, Lenny Kravitz is known from New York to Moscow. He has a great reputation to live up to. Plus, his beautiful daughter Zoe gives him an extra sense of pride as a Hollywood actress in high demand.

Although he divorced her mother Lisa Bonet, the parents are on good terms. You see Lenny Kravitz is cool. One minute Justin Bieber’s posing with him. The next minute, you see his leather pants rip on stage. The celebrity could have been embarrassed about it, but the show goes on instead.
I believe this will be a special year in music. The Grammys rarely take place on Monday. And Kanye West’s most recent Tweet directed at Mark Zuckerberg is nothing short of amazing. I agree with Kanye 100 percent. That’s why I wrote this piece called Kanye West and 60s/70s Music.
Lenny Kravitz’s creativity compares to Kanye West’s artistry. Like the College Dropout rapper, Kravitz expresses his creative ideas, only a little differently. Like Guitar Hero, Lenny Kravitz is addicting.

Spending Saturdays Listening to Stevie Wonder

As Valentine’s Day nears, the air we breathe smells fresher and lovelier. Stevie Wonder puts it well, “There’s a ribbon in the sky for our love.” The snow falls and love accumulates- making this a special time of the year.

Stevie Wonder’s love songs come at a premium price. I Just Called To Say I Love You, My Cherie Amour, and Isn’t She Lovely are just some of his many masterpieces on the subject of love. No one- not even Bruno Mars– makes a better love song than Stevie Wonder.
Who can touch Wonder’s pure musical abilities and creative genius? Without question, the Master Blaster influences generations of musicians. He can take that harmonica, keyboard, or virtually any instrument and create passionate music. Let’s not forget his unforgettable/ unbelievable vocals as well.

How about spending Saturdays listening to Stevie Wonder? His music can easily be found on iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, and Pandora. The whole world should hear his songs.
I grew up listening to the Motown legend. I’ve heard numerous stories from people who knew him. They speak very highly of him. Whenever I drive pass Hitsville U.S.A. I think about how the legend of Stevie Wonder was born. I picture Diana Ross, Berry Gordy, and Smokey Robinson making hits with the 25 time Grammy award winning wonder.
Even though he is blind, Wonder’s songs generate amazing imagery. I recommend buying his Inner Visions album to experience the thrilling sensation of his music. From Fingertipsto right now, Stevie Wonder’s prolific career has been exemplary.

Living For The City is one of my theme songs. Aside from love, Stevie has a strong understanding about life. Imagine being blind, black, and poor. I encourage others to become more familiar with Stevie’s story.
In 1973, the musician almost lost his life in a car accident and went into a coma. The doctors didn’t know whether Wonder would be able to survive- let alone perform again. This shows that life is so fragile. That’s why I appreciate every moment, and take nothing for granted.

Bow Down to the Queen of Psychedelic Soul: Janis Joplin

Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and Michael Jackson made their marks on the world over. Music was a religion to Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley. And Miles Davis was the common denominator.
Music is a universal language. We wake up and fall asleep to the sound of music. Living on a farm, we may hear crock-a-doodle do first thing in the morning. At night the crickets chirp in synchronization making our sleeping more enjoyable. In the city the cars speed, the helicopters cop, and the train choo choos.
Now drones are the newest music brought to us by Barack Obama. Music can be organized and/or chaotic sounds. Jazz, Rap, and Rock & Roll demonstrate the different potential ranges and dynamic mechanics of music. While pop appeals to our subconscious and lower passions, the Blues showcase a ‘piece of my heart.’

Blues legend Janis Joplin helped change society. The singer stepped on the stage on purpose and carrying a message in her hand. She was well equipped with only a guitar.
The Queen of Psychedelic Soul was a figurehead of 1960s music. What would Woodstock be without Janis Joplin? In a sense, Joplin was a musical revolutionary.
Janis Joplin possessed the perfect tone. She never overcompensated. She always delivered.

American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox covered Me and Bobby McGee on the show. Who doesn’t sing Janis Joplin’s songs? Tons of musicians strive to become like Janis Joplin because she is a masterpiece.

I love painting portraits and Janis was a fine painter. I connect with Janis Joplin spiritually and emotionally. Although I wasn’t alive for Woodstock, my spirit was there. Janis Joplin isn’t alive right now in the physical but her spirit is here with us.

Beyonce famously sung Bow Down bitches. And bitches bowed down because she is Queen Bey of the Beyhive. You must bow down to Janis Joplin too because she is the Queen of Psychedelic Soul, bitch.

Last year Meghan Trainor rose to fame with her hit song All About That Bass. Right now Meghan’s music video has amassed over 1.2 billion views on YouTube. The rising star has a bright future.
Her clear voice commands attention. I believe Meghan Trainor could become a pop idol if she keeps up the good work. Time is on the 22 year old’s side. Moreover, working with John Legend and Charlie Puth supports her cause.
She is a fine singer, who seems to be fulfilling her dreams and potential. There are too many musicians wasting their talent. Substance abuse is often the main culprit.
Celebrities must resist temptations everyday.
Once you conquer the demons, the sky opens up for you. Trainor should stay on the right course and not get distracted.

Thank goodness the Like I’m Gonna Lose Yousinger was discovered. Born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts, Meghan now resides in Los Angeles. Though she is hardly at home because the entertainment business demands a large chunk of her time.
Trainor’s Title album was certified platinum. I have a feeling that her Thank You album will also gain platinum status. Meghan appeals to a wide demographic because she doesn’t have trouble with displaying her curves. Women should have a healthy body image like Meghan no matter their size. Be comfortable in your skin even if you’re thin.
The reason for this young entertainer’s success is that she’s different. There is nobody else like Meghan Trainor in show business. What is more, when it’s show time she turns up the temperature.
Check out her 2015 AMAs performance if you haven’t done so already. The hot blonde deserves to be on top of the Billboard Hot 100. Plus, she appears to have a good attitude. Trainor hasn’t turned into a stuck-up diva.
I believe she’s a little sweetie because she had a good upbringing. Her family pictures are all over Instagram. The Dear Future Husband songstress is a jewel. I’m happy to see the rising stardom of Meghan Trainor.

What is country music without Miranda Lambert? Her best is yet to come. Miranda Lambert could become the next Reba McEntire or Dolly Parton. If she smartly markets her name and creates a valuable brand, she’ll have unlimited earning potential.
They say all things from Texas come in big packages. No wonder Miranda was born there. She has the biggest chops outside Oklahoma.
Back in 2003 she became a finalist on Nashville Star. 2 years later she debuted her first album entitled Kerosene. Soon after blazing country trails she set the world on fire.
Today, the country singer’s reach isn’t constrained by geography. Miranda Lambert has demonstrated she is the cream of the crop. She has proven her dynamic ability to consistently generate hits. I love listening to Lambert sing.

Her latest album, Platinum, showcases a wonderful exhibit of her talents. She is a skilled music artist driven by passion. Miranda Lambert is excited to tell a story with her carefully crafted lyrics.
Miranda’s rank falls in between Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson. If Carrie is a 10, Miranda is an 8 or 9, and Jessica is a solid 7 as far as music is concerned. Now, as far as attractiveness all 3 blondes are 10s.
Although Miranda Lambert’s birth records say she’s 32 years old, she could pass for 25. As you can see I am great with numbers. And Miranda produces them in the form of record sales, concert tickets, and social media. Amassing 8.5 million Facebook likes like Miranda Lambert is an impressive feat.

Miranda’s mission is to serve mankind with her offerings. Her image is worth a king’s ransom. That’s why she graces the covers of magazines for an exorbitant fee. Most say she’s worth every penny.
What is more, Miranda means the world to country music.

Listening to Alanis Morissette sing is like floating on a cloud and down a river. You adore Alanis because she radiates spiritual energy. Absorbing Alanis Morissette goes beyond music.
Her soulful lyrics provoke all types of emotions. Furthermore, Morissette’s music reaches everyone because she sings about happiness and hardship. The singer realizes music is a reflection of life, and she mirrors images of mankind with fine-tuned harmonies and melodies.
Alanis is on another level lyrically. Can you imagine Morissette writing lyrics for Adele, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift? I like all of them, but I believe they should outsource their songwriting duties to Alanis Morissette.
Fans and critics love Alanis due to her longevity and relevancy. The legendary musician released her Jagged Little Pill album in 1995. Can you believe Head Over Feetand Hand In My Pocket came out 20 years ago?

Right now the You Outta Know singer has won 7 Grammys. Plus she has sold over 60 million album copies.
I admire Alanis Morissette because the multi-talented entertainer refuses to be categorized.
Boy, she blows that harmonica better than most country girls. The dual Canadian and American citizen creates beautiful sounds.
People are jealous of Alanis because she’s doing what she loves. Alanis Morissette is original. Therefore, the passionate artist expresses her feelings in various ways.

Fortunately she found her calling early in life. “Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this.” You know Morissette can finally be free.
The long hair brunette earned the right to relax more than just hair. After numerous tours and recording sessions, Alanis should start self-actualizing. I believe she recognizes her worth and won’t back down from anything.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs suggests that there are five levels of human needs. Reaching the final level is rare. Alanis Morissette has demonstrated she’s on another level. Astronauts are floating in space while listening to Alanis Morissette. She is literally universal.
