    One minute you’re famous. The next fourteen minutes you’re infamous. You never know when your time is up as a celebrity. So enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame while you can.

    It seems the end game is to become rich and famous in 2019. Who doesn’t want more money and recognition? But how do you judge it all?

    In other words, what’s the definition of rich and famous? At what point are you rich and famous? This blog post recognizes the crème de la crème in entertainment. The following celebrities deserve the most money and recognition.

    She is the only Hollywood actress on the list. She has all the riches and fame a blonde beauty could want. She deserves to be one of the highest-paid actresses. Throughout Jennifer Lawrence’s career her films have grossed over $6 billion.

4. Drake
    
    He is the number 1 rapper for good reason. Every time Drake makes an album it’s a hit. The Toronto native doesn’t disappoint fans either. He makes the headlines all the time.

5. Rihanna
    
    Rihanna is a top 5 celebrity. Her star power spans across continents. Jay Z trained her well.

6.  Lady Gaga
    
    Lady Gaga won an Oscar for A Star Is Born. She delivered a fine theatrical performance. She is also a phenomenal singer. Something tells me, she isn’t finished winning awards.

    Taylor Swift used to be number 1 but she still makes the top 10. The celebrity is rich and famous beyond measure. Plus her music is good.

    Is he the most famous Canadian in history?  Justin Bieber put Canada on the map. You’re living under a rock if you don’t know who Justin Bieber is.

9. Ariana Grande

    No one questions the talented Ariana Grande. Her voice speaks (or should I say sings for itself.) The singer is like no other.

    What is a list without controversy? The controversial rapper makes the top 10 celebrities right now. Somehow, he finds a way to make it to the top.

    Who is the best new artist? What is the song of the year? Who will win the album of the year? A day from now, the Grammys will provide answers to these questions and more. I will shine a spotlight on the music stars ahead of time. Also, I will give Grammy predictions.

    The live Sunday show on CBS starting at 8 PM (E.S.T.) is hosted by the one and only Alicia Keys. I feel fans will get what they deserve. Once the red carpet rolls out, eyeballs will be glued to the TV screen. All eyes will be on Cardi B. What will she do? What won’t she do?

    Wait and see, Cardi B’s performance will be the biggest story of the evening. I can see the Tweets coming in, already. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper aims to please. She is one of the hottest topics in the entertainment industry.

    I predict Lady Gaga will have a moment. The star will shine. I expect Lady Gaga to win for A Star Is Born. Do the Grammys need to legitimize Lady Gaga? Does she need validation for the Oscars? It would shock me if Gaga doesn’t leave with a Grammy Sunday night.



    Best new artist is a crowded field and close contest. Margo Price and Greta Van Fleet are great, but Dua Lipa should win. The “New Rules” songstress is a big deal. You could argue Chloe x Halle should win because of the Beyonce advantage. It is an interesting conversation.

    While we’re having this discussion, we must remember Jorja Smith. The 21-year-old British singer is sensational. And Jorja has a bright future.

    What about the crown jewel? Could Ella Mai win the song of the year? This London, England native is earning every one of her English Music Royalties. “Boo’d Up” is just as successful as “Bleeding Love.” I believe she is next in line behind Leona Lewis.

    I won’t predict record of the year because it is the most complicated award for a host of reasons. I could write an entire article on this category alone. However, I will predict album of the year. The $100 Million Man Drake’s Scorpion should win the prestigious award.

More Predictions

    Janelle Monae deserves long overdue recognition. I think best pop solo performance will surprise the viewing audience the most. Camila Cabello could win for “Havana” over Ariana Grande’s “God Is a Woman.”
    
    I expect Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” to win best music video. And you can’t forget about H.E.R. and Beck. I feel The Carterswill win trophies too. Beyonce and Jay Z made a masterpiece this past year.

    The Grammys countdown is underway. Are you excited? Will you watch the red carpet? What are your plans afterward? More music stories to come.

Let’s discuss new school vs. old school. Migos Vs. Wu Tang Clan is an interesting comparison. The Migos belong to the new edition and the Wu Tang Clan are original gangsters.

Both groups have similarly creative names and make unique music. Migos is short for amigos- the Spanish word for friends. And clan means a group of closely knit and interrelated families.

Who doesn’t like listening to Migos? These Hip-Hop artists have been active since 2008, but not until recently has their music topped the charts. Migos, consisting of Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset, are commercially successful and relevant. Their songs have been showcased by Spotify, Apple Music, and more. 

Who remembers their extremely popular iPhone commercial?
Migos are new school with an old school vibe. The Walk It Talk It music video generates good vibrations. Migos are modern-day Beach Boys if the surfer singers could rap.

Wu Tang Clan’s music was commercially successful and stays relevant. Google made the widely popular Shimmy song commercial a couple years ago. Moreover, C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) is Wu Tang Clan’s most famous song because money equates to success and relevancy. Still by no stretch of imagination- are they a one hit wonder.

Without question, Wu Tang Clan have made their mark on music history. Complex has complied a list of Wu Tang Clan’s 100 best songs. The rappers maintain a strong influence on a generation of music artists. Also, the band of brothers illustrate the importance of brotherhood.

Could you imagine a Migos and Wu Tang Clan collaboration? I’ve learned to not rule out anything. Plus, music is the common denominator.

Whoever Migos joins forces with, whether it’s Drake or Pusha-T, the group creates transformative music. Perhaps the difference between Migos and Wu Tang Clan are that Migos is mainstream and Wu Tang Clan is niche.

Drake Is the $100 Million Man

It’s Prime Day and I’m thinking about buying a few Scorpion albums with my money. The only problem is Amazon’s got a big glitch. I thought I write about Drake until Amazon gets fixed. Right now, I’m listening to his music as I write.

I first listened to Scorpionon Spotify when it was initially released on June 29. If you don’t know what Spotify is, it is the Netflix of music. As I listened to Drake on Spotify, I was impressed from the very beginning.

Since June 29, I’ve played Drake’s music every day. I can recall listening to it on Independence Day. The experience was like watching a Will Smith movie. It was a pleasure to hear his rhymes and beats.

Drake is no stranger to taking over. Do you remember when Hotline Bling was the music video of the year? “And I know when that hotline bling, that can only mean one thing.”

Drake is taking over Summer 2018. We will look back on this moment and recognize the summer as a historic period in music. You watch as people come up with stories in the future.

Drake is the $100 million man for 100 million reasons. His music gets inside of your head. You are bound to memorize his lyrics. It’s only a matter of time before you know In My Feelings by heart.

“Kiki, do you love me?”

I can’t wait for him to collaborate with The Weeknd, who made $92 million last year according to Forbes.

I believe Drake’s Scorpionalbum will eclipse the popularity of Thriller. Everyone acknowledges Thriller as Michael Jackson’s magnus opus. Well, Scorpionis Drake’s magnus opus.

The hit album is a popular culture phenomenon. First, we saw God’s Plan turn into a colossal hit. Then, Nice for What became a theme song for independent women. Let’s not forget his music videos are cream of the crop. I’m talking top notch quality.

Now, In My Feelingsmight turn into the song of the year. People are literally going wild because of In My Feelings. Have you heard of the In My Feelings challenge? It’s amazing how much Drake is impacting the world with his songs.

Scorpion was released 3 weeks ago and has already broken all time streaming records. It is no coincidence Drake features Michael Jackson on his album.

Drake is a modern-day Picasso. His songs are works of arts. Like Beyonce and Jay Z, Drake has made a masterpiece. Unlike Bey and Jay, you could say he did it all by himself because his name alone is on the album cover.

Listening to Drake’s music gives you good vibes. For the most part, his music stays positive. However, he had to address his Pusha T beef. I don’t understand these rap beefs sometimes.

Applaud Drake because he is willing to tell his side of the story. I hope Amazon gets fixed, so I can buy the Drake albums. In the meantime, I’m going to keep listening to his music.

Last night on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, French Montana performed Famous from his new album ‘Jungle Rules.’ He demonstrated his mastery of flow like a fire guzzler onstage with the world watching. As he spat fire, it reminded of a hypothetical Pitbull and Drake Rap battle. Moreover, the crowd went wild while the curvaceous belly dancers swayed from side to side in spectacular fashion and gorgeous garments.


I wish I could of been in the building at that time. It was that good. Nothing is better than live entertainment. Going to concerts and soaking up the atmosphere is priceless.


It was his first live TV performance of the new song; and, he did not disappoint fans. Like DJ Khaled, all French Montana does is win. How can you lose with good music on your side. Plus, all the ladies were into his groove.


Over the years, French Montana has made a big name for himself. He is Grammy nominated. Plus, he is platinum certified.

I can see songs from ‘Jungle Rules’ being included on a movie soundtrack. It’s only a matter of time before the movie industry gets its hands on this diamond. I’ve listened to the songs and the music is in a category of its own.


Checkout Famous. FrenchMontanaVevo released the music video today; and it is all that you expect it to be and more. The Moroccan-American represents his roots and does his native land of Morocco proud. The video shows clips of the beautiful countryside, city, and people.

Why Shawn Mendes Is NOT the New Justin Bieber

It seems Shawn Mendes is the new Justin Bieber. He is dominating YouTube and Twitter. I would argue that his name is more famous than Taylor Swift in Canada. But can there really be another Justin Bieber?

Shawn Mendes just turned 18 years old, and now he has the whole world listening to his music. Remember Justin Bieber got off to an early start too. Isn’t that something… they’re both Canadian?

Outside Germany, Canada brews the best beer. Outside America, Canada breeds the best singers. Give extra credit to Drake and the Weeknd.

Mendes isn’t old enough to drink alcohol in the United States. However, he’s able to entertain drunken crowds. Maybe, they should increase the drinking age to 24 because that’s when the brain’s fully developed. Or maybe they should lower the drinking age to 18 because that’s when men and women go to war.

Shawn Mendes puts the ‘S’ in Showbiz. Everyday he works hard on his craft to get better. Does he have to Show You? His sound is similar to Nick Jonas‘s Chains. Plus, the Stitches singer knows how to stitch up a track like Lil Wayne.

It’s scary in a good way. You see Shawn still has untapped potential. Picture the young celebrity joining up forces with 5 Seconds of Summer on a possible tour. What if he made an entire album with Fifth Harmony? Let’s hope Camila Cabello stays the course, although it appears she may go solo.

Music needs more Mendeses’ and less one hit wonders. Yes, I love catchy lyrics like you do, but let’s ask ourselves- what’s the catch? Let’s stop sacrificing great music for good.

Everybody has asked is Shawn Mendes the new Justin Bieber? My answer is NO. He is big enough to be his own man. You’ll see.

Kendrick Lamar crafts clever wordplay like a Scrabble champion. His music can rile up and/or rejuvenate the masses. Don’t tempt him unless you want the repercussions. Like Ice Cube said, “check yourself.” You see like Common, Kendrick’s voice registers with Joe Public and that means something.
So, where do you rank Kendrick Lamar among the best in the rap game? I feel he is a highly rated player on par with Tyga. Actually, he is better than Tyga (who is great btw) I just couldn’t resist writing that cool sentence. You see Kendrick Lamar doesn’t have many equals in Hip Hop and it’s an injustice.
Combine talent, naturally/ God-given gifts, and work ethic and you get Kendrick Lamar. It doesn’t take Einstein to solve the K-Dot equation. Staying committed to the cause/ provides a way out of the clause.

Plus Kendrick Lamar makes some of the best music videos in the industry. His Poetic Justice video featuring Drake deserves an honorable mention. And Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood is one featuring Kendrick that should get recognized more often. 
Society needs music in order to thrive. Music keeps humanity off the brink of extinction. What would you do without art?    
Who knows? In a couple of years, Kendrick will be the number 1 favorite overtaking the likes of Drake. He can record underground mix tapes and mainstream pop songs alike.

The explicit lyrics and originally creative content of Kendrick Lamar defines his greatness. Replay the Recipefeaturing Dr. Dre for the full whammy as he pours out his overflowing juices. Rhyme comes easy to the Compton rapper because it’s hard enough “living just enough for the city.”
Sometimes, I swear he should be a comedian because of his sound effects. Martin Lawrencehas an entertainment effect. “Martin had a dream. Martin had a dream. Kendrick have a dream.”
