Why Avengers Is the Ultimate Brand



    Last summer Avengers: Infinity War was released in theaters. I was lucky to watch this blockbuster movie. Avengers: Infinity War was probably the biggest and best movie of Summer 2018.

    It had everything you could want in a film: action, romance, suspense, drama, and a little comedy. I highly recommend seeing any Avengers movie. Marvel does it the best.

    Now, Robert Downey Jr. showed why he is time and time again the number 1 actor in the world. Plus, Scarlett Johansson shined bright like the diamond she is. And Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Pratt proved why they have Hollywood’s favorite first name.

    In a sense, Avengers: Infinity War was the ultimate movie. Moreover, Avengers is the ultimate brand because the movie franchise is comparable to Star Wars and Star Trek. In fact, I think it’s better than Star Trek.

    Give the director kudos because managing all those egos must have been extremely challenging if not a nightmare. Also, the cinematography was on point. I loved all the characters. There was lots of color and excitement.

    You see, Avengers goes beyond the movies. Like Star Wars, it is woven in the fabric of pop-culture. It is worldwide appealing too. It is more than just America.

    The genius behind Avengers, itself, is that the franchise is movies within a movie, TV within television, and well-defined characters within themselves. In other words, you can count on your kids wanting to dress up as an Avenger on Halloween. There are so many choices. Doesn’t everybody want to be a superhero?

    In closing, Hollywood is changing. The movies are more daring. It is not enough to merely follow the formula anymore. You’ve got to tweak the script and challenge the status quo.

    Without question, Avengers set the bar high every time. All their movies are top-notch quality. They create superior original entertainment.

    Avengers: Infinity War reminded me of being a blend between X-Men Apocalypse and Days of Future Past. Avengers, as a Marvel brand, takes you on an adventure. What is more, the journey is a dream come true for comic book fans. That’s why Avengers is the ultimate brand.

Captain America: Civil War Movie Review

The concept of merging all the superheroes into one movie is brilliant, but it could be executed better. There are some phenomenal scenes in Civil War. However, some scenes are easily forgettable.
I feel the actors are excellent. Moreover, producers should place more emphasis on Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen. How does the writer determine who gets the best lines?
The face-offs and toe-to-toes are unbelievable. Chris Evans aka Captain America has a chance to end Iron Man, as we know him. All this occurs because a doctor wants to play games.
Chadwick Boseman makes a great appearance as Black Panther. He saves Scarlett Johansson’s ass (which is for the good of humanity). Everything happens too fast. That’s my biggest critique.
Slow it down a little and let the audience’s eyes focus on the target. Anthony Mackie livened it up as always. Plus, Jeremy Renner shined.
Who am I forgetting? Oh yeah, that guy Robert Downey Jr. The number 1 movie star does not disappoint as Iron Man. He has swagger.

Civil War is like seeing 10 Marvel movies at the same time. Also, Spider-Man appears in this edition of Captain America.
I believe the directors held back and they could have delivered more content. Maybe, they’re saving up for next time, which is an acceptable strategy. Did you see Avengers: Age Of Ultron? How does it compare to this?
Can you imagine them filming on the beach? Location. Location. Location. I like how the great white letters showcased the locations. Details can make or break a film of high caliber.
Also, remember to stay during the closing credits because there’s an extra scene packed in. You can’t complain about the ending. All loose ends get tied together. 
Overall, I give the movie a C+. Although it had a lot of style, it had just a little bit of substance. It was definitely entertaining though.

The biggest first name in Hollywood is Chris. Evans, Hemsworth and Pratt are making strides on the Walk of Fame. What is more, this trio’s footprints belong on the Boulevard.


You don’t want Chris Evans’ representation. He should fire his manager. Darn it! Chris Evans is a franchise player making a rookie’s salary.

People magazine named Chris Hemsworth the sexiest man alive. Apparently they forgot about the other two ‘Christies’ Evans and Pratt. Oh, how superficial can Hollywood get?
All these actors have one thing in common. You guessed it. They’re gym rats.

Here’s the truth. Hollywood leading men must have astronomically sized muscles. In case you’re not physically imposing, you need to work twice as hard to land auditions. It’s rare but talent beats brute force on occasion.
Give Hemsworth credit for his role selection. Have you seen ‘Thor?’ Do you plan to go see his new movie ‘Blackhat?’
‘Parks and Recreation’ cast member Chris Pratt came a long way from Jump Street. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was his big break. Always keep the line open, in case Marvel calls.
Pratt stars in the highly anticipated Jurassic World. With such favorable momentum, how can Chris lose? Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Furthermore, Hemsworth has a key role in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ I predict Avengers will take the second slot right after ‘Star Wars.’ Franchises tend to do swell at the box office.
Who would win a hypothetical Battle Royal? If I were a betting man, I’d choose Evans because he seems more assertive. In combat sports such as wrestling and boxing one’s awareness is critical.
Evans is only 6’0. Pratt stands at 6’2. And Hemsworth comes in at 6’3. Hemsworth could overpower Pratt.
Between these ‘Marvel’ movie stars, Chris Pratt is the best actor. Am I right? Who’s better?

Do you eat enough vegetables? Do you consume too much meat? Maybe, you should try vegetarianism.

There is a 50/50 chance that your favorite celebrity’s a vegetarian. Hollywood stars are always ahead of the curve. Are you a vegetarian? I’d like to hear from you.

If you eat vegetables exclusively, you’re in great company. The following 27 celebrities are vegetarians. You’ll have to prepare vegetarian dishes for them during Thanksgiving and the holidays.

1. Chris Evans


While Captain Ahab tries to track down Moby Dick, Captain America is out saving Shamu. Chris Evans commands the Marvel vessel. You wouldn’t want anyone else at the wheel.

Being vegetarian doesn’t mean you’re weak. Don’t assume vegetarians are weaklings. If Chris Evans can go without meat, you can too.  

2. Prince


Prince makes music like salad. It’s always fresh. And the legendary artist loves veggies.

Can you believe the vegetarian started performing in 1976? Going vegetarian pays royalties. Eat like Prince. ‘You are what you eat.’

Being vegetarian is one way the princess can keep her figure right. The music industry demands a lot from artists. Still, I think Ariana can handle the pressure. She’s made of steel.

Still, I’m concerned about her vocal cords. I don’t want her to end up like Adele. Conserve your voice and energy. And don’t overdo it.

4. Jenny McCarthy

Melissa’s cousin Jenny receives many benefits from going vegetarian. Maybe, Jenny can rub off on her cousion. Hey, it’s working well for Jenny McCarthy!

5. Brandy


Brandy’s been working since the age of 14.. She deserves a break. Pamper yourself. You see she has good genetics; and, she is a vegetarian.

6. Jared Leto


Does Jared Leto look a day over 35? He takes good care of his body and it shows. 35 years from now, you’ll swear up and down he’s 50!

7. Samuel L. Jackson


The #1movie villain of all time doesn’t eat meat. At first, I didn’t believe it. But, Samuel L. Jackson needs to be in tip-top condition in order to star in 5 movies per year.

8. Demi Lovato

I’m impressed by Demi Lovato’s Fandom. Lovatics are crazy in a good way. I know they’re glad that their idol is vegetarian.  

9. Kelly Clarkson


My favorite American Idol happens to be vegetarian. Kelly Clarkson deserves special recognition. Do you know how hard it is for a Texas girl to pass up steak? I applaud her.

Nowadays you know Orlando Jones best for his work on Sleepy Hollow. But he’s been in show business for a very long time. Jones was an original MADtv cast member back in 1995. The vegetarian’s sense of humor and style reminds me a lot of Wayne Brady.

I want to see Boy George’s birth certificate. This man can’t be over 50. Eating vegetables keeps him looking young. Despite his bad boy image he eats his veggies like a good boy.

The good feeling rapper is a vegetarian. Regardless of your occupation, you too can go vegetarian. I don’t care if you’re a butcher.

India Arie makes inspirational music. The soulful singer only partakes in soul food if it’s greens. Vegetarianism strengthens her brand.

I wish Nikita lasted forever. However, after four seasons the series got cancelled. The Vietnamese vegetarian Maggie Q made her mark in television history. Let’ s appreciate her contribution. Hopefully, she finds a new calling.

Whoa Nelly! Have you seen his Cheerios’ commercials? More rappers should follow his lead. There’s no question about Nelly’s fitness.

Last but not least is Los Angeles native Ke$ha. She got a D+ on the Duck Test. But, it has been confirmed that she’s indeed a vegetarian.

One word: Taken. The actor has stolen the spotlight from Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and others on numerous occasions. He’s in an elite acting class.

Have you seen Non-Stop?  Neeson is not slowing down even at age 62. Neeson’s career is full of achievements. He’s like a decorated soldier.

The box office is all about the dollar. As you know I love numbers. That’s why I like Liam Neeson.

Neeson has been involved with several blockbusters. He starred in Star Wars, Batman, and the Chronicles of Narnia. Basically, Liam Neeson puts butts in seats.

He is the 10th highest paid actor. Liam made 32 million dollars last year. Movie executives, producers and directors are proud to have him on their team.

Denzel Washington was born to act. Did you know his mother named him after the doctor who delivered him? Denzel deserves every ounce of respect.

He started off his career humbly. His claim to fame took countless sacrificial years. He displayed brilliance in John Q.

If you have yet to see it, I highly recommend the film. Denzel Washington doesn’t mind playing the villain. In fact, he embraces being the antagonist.

That’s why he thrived in American Gangster, Training Day and Malcolm X. He actually turned down the chance to play MLK. Denzel is an impressive and tough act to follow.

Washington made $33 million last year. He earned $20 million from Equalizer. Do you like Denzel Washington?

If you’re having money troubles, call Tom Cruise. His acting skills will bail you out of a jam. Of course, you have to pay him top dollar.

The Top Gun actor is on top of the totem pole. He’s been in the business for a long time. And, he is still in high demand for many reasons.

He’s short in stature but he is a tall glass of water. Women gawk at his sight. Cruise’s time in the gym has paid dividends.

Did you see Mission Impossible III? The cast had electric chemistry. All the Missions were good.

Now, Tom is not a saint but his acting is close to perfect. As a result of his hardworking workaholic work ethic, Tom Cruise made $35 million last year. This is proof he is the best. Who is the next Tom Cruise? Who knows?

Adam Sandler is the funniest man on the list. I mean he is a comedian after all. But, did you know Adam is a great dramatic actor?

Watch Reign Over Me. Sandler showcases the range of his talents. He’s more than one dimension.

The funny man made $37 million in 2013. My only knock on Sandler is his role selections. He must take more pride in his stride and stop accepting junk parts.

His name sounds like your favorite Starbucks’ latte. But, how can you blame DiCaprio when he didn’t choose his name? Anyway, the girls don’t mind.

Shakespeare said, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” The Romeo and Juliet actor attracts a loyal and supportive crowd. He’s been in the game for a long time. You must appreciate his body of work.

Two words: The Titanic. Leonardo DiCaprio owes his good fortune to the misfortune that happened on the Titanic. Without this movie, Leonardo’s name would be smaller.

Leo DiCaprio is big. How big? He made $39 million. It doesn’t take an accountant…to figure out that’s a no-brainer.

The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson is the new and improved Sylvester Stallone. Did you see Pain & Gain? Are you standing in line to see Hercules?

I predict Hercules will be a huge success. The casting department got the right man for the job. People say he lives in the gym. No, he is the gym.

Dwayne is authentic. That is the key to his success. Why isn’t he in Expendables? He is indispensable.


Get out of the kitchen if you smell what the Rock is cooking. 


Dwayne Johnson had a great year. The actor received $46 million. He is a must-see movie star.


4. Mark Wahlberg, $52 Million

Mark Wahlberg a.k.a. Marky Mark is an outstanding actor. He’s the white Will Smith. Smith is the black Mark Wahlberg.

Either way you look at it, Marky Mark’s got the good vibrations. Wahlberg is the new and enhanced Tom Cruise. Also, his sense of humor is underrated. Did you like him in The Other Guys and Ted? 

Mark Wahlberg made $52 million. He is the 4th highest paid actor. The Transformersis an absolute must-see summer fun and family friendly movie.


3. Hugh Jackman, $55 Million

Hugh Jackman is the greatest Australian actor ever. Statistically, he has the box office results to back up that claim. This is one of his best years financially and artistically.

Hugh Jackman received $55 million last year. He was underpaid. Still, he is the 3rd highest paid actor.

2. Channing Tatum, $60 Million

Channing Tatum is the highest paid actor of his generation. 22 Jump Street is also an absolute must-see summer fun flick. Will you buy the DVD?

He was great in White House Down. The good thing is he’s getting better. He could be bigger than Brad Pitt.

Channing is more famous than Dave. He is the 2nd highest paid actor. He made $60 million in 2013.

Acting is in Robert Downey, Jr.’s blood. Making money in the performance arts is a family tradition. You can’t deny Downey, Jr. has a gift.

However, the Iron Man is overpaid. He was fine in Sherlock Holmes. But, who will call it like they see it?

I will.

Robert Downey Jr. received $75 million. He was in 1 movie! Hollywood has it backwards. Whoever wrote Downey, Jr. that check should be scratching his head. Better yet, he should get his head examined.

Predictions

I predict Chris Evans a.k.a. Captain America will make the top 10 sooner than later. And, Will Smith may make a list or two if he gets back into the groove. Also, Jennifer Lawrence will command a much higher salary in the future.
