Post Malone Vs. Machine Gun Kelly: Who Has the Bigger Brand?

Branding is the business of a celebrity. As an entertainer, how you package yourself says a lot about your brand. Your name matters as much as what your name is attached to. Attachments are more than just email terms. Celebrities must take care about who they endorse. Pepsi and Coke aren’t the only brand names in town. Ask Dave Chappelle which one tastes better, and be prepared for a wild answer.

If you want to be a rapper, you’re in the right place. I will tell you how. Remember to read the fine print in your contracts, and don’t do anything stupid. Those are the first steps. Above all, be yourself, write your rhymes, produce some tracks, hop on stage, and put a ring on the next Beyonce. O.K., you don’t have to do everything I prescribed, but do find yourself. What is it that makes you different?

You should pay homage to Post Malone and Machine Gun Kelly. They made their money the right way. Let’s look at the two rappers’ star power. Don’t reinvent the wheel.

POST MALONE

I offered a clue with ‘don’t reinvent the wheel.’ Most rappers sing about cars. Rick Ross made the Aston Martin song and Maybach Music. This is a common theme in Hip Hop. There’s no way around it. You must rap about a set of wheels. Also, rap about girls. Beyonce and Alicia Keys couldn’t have said it any better: “put it in a love song.” WARNING: there’s a way to rap about cars and girls. If you do so, do it with purpose and meaning.

MACHINE GUN KELLY

Don’t forget where you came from. Embrace your roots. “Put on for your city.” Machine Gun Kelly, the Cleveland rapper, represents his city better than a politician. He is also romantically linked to Megan Fox. Celebrities must share their stories, so the entertainment industry isn’t null and void. Success follows a formula, but at the same time, entertainers must tweak the rules. Relax. That stiffness in your neck needs a massage.

Who has the bigger brand: Post Malone or Machine Gun Kelly?

Born in Syracuse, New York, Post Malone is a rare breed. His music crosses genres. He stays true to the art and does what sounds good. Isn’t life all about doing what feels good? He could be another Kid Rock. Did you see him at Diddy’s 50th birthday celebration? Post Malone’s music credits include hit after hit.

Machine Gun Kelly was born in Houston, Texas, but he has strong ties to Cleveland. Check out his song Till I Die. Kelly could be a lot of things; but, one thing he is not is a sucker. Both celebrities are cool, and that is what counts. Be cool! I’m not saying you have to get tattoos, but at least take risks.

To answer the question about “who has the bigger brand?” I must examine the facts and neglect my emotions. Right now, I estimate more people know who Post Malone is than Machine Gun Kelly. (Have you seen Spenser Confidential?) Shout out to Mark Wahlberg! However, Machine Gun Kelly’s hardcore image sells more records. At the end of the day, brand power is subjective, but some things can be counted. Give it 5 years, and we’ll know without a doubt who’s bigger. Right now, the slight edge goes to Post Malone.

Chance the Rapper Vs. Big Sean RAP BATTLE

Chance the Rapper Vs. Big Sean RAP BATTLE

Who wins a rap battle between Chance the Rapper and Big Sean? Whose music do you want to dance to at the night club ‘til dawn? Which rapper would you prefer to rap at your wedding reception? All these questions and more will be answered in this blog.
Let the Chance the Rapper Vs. Big Sean RAP BATTLE begin!
I remember Chance the Rapper’s first appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL). The sketch comedy TV show did several promotions starring Chance. One of those featured Pete Davidson and Andy Samberg.
At the time I didn’t know his music, but after his SNL performance I wanted to get to know it. I soon found out that man could rap. I’ve listened to his music in clubs and on road trips. What draws me to Chance the Rapper is his creativity. I feel Chance the Rapper is more creative than Big Sean.
I’ve also listened to Big Sean’s music at night clubs. I believe Big Sean music wins big at the club. If you want to dance, then Big Sean’s music is better than Chance the Rapper. Big Sean makes better dance music. However, if you’re listening for the sake of lyrics and rhythm, then Chance is the best.

Chance the Rapper and Big Sean both make similar music. The major difference is Big Sean represents Detroit and Chance the Rapper is an ambassador of Chicago. An important similarity is their connection to Chicago via Kanye West. For the most part, their music is positive, fun, and relevant. According to B.O.B., nowadays music artists fight for relevancy. Chance and Big have won half the battle because they’re making headlines every week.
In recent news, Chance the Rapper and Kanye West were scheduled to release a joint album sometime in the future. Some suspect the album to debut as early as this summer. If this is true, then this will fundamentally shake the Hip-Hop world.
What is your favorite Big Sean and Chance the Rapper song? I like One Man Could Change the World, Blessings (Reprise), IDFWU, Dance, and Ultralight Beam.
Choosing between Chance the Rapper and Big Sean is a difficult decision. But Big Sean wins this RAP BATTLE by a slim margin. I prefer Big Sean rap at my wedding reception. Big Sean is more established, although Chance the Rapper is a big deal. I side with the establishment.

Does Macklemore Make Your Top 10?

BY: GURU JAY

Do you like Hip Hop music? Who are your favorite rappers? Does Macklemore make your top 10 rappers today?

Without question, the 33 year old rapper has raving fans across the globe. From Washington D.C. to Rio de Janeiro, the celebrity is highly regarded. With 2.8 million Twitter followers, it’s easy to see why people are mentioning his account right now.

I first learned about Macklemore after hearing Thrift Shop play on the radio 4 years ago. Since then, I’ve seen the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis music video many times. Sometimes I think “I’m gonna pop some tags,” especially when I only have 20 dollars in my pocket.

You see Macklemore has a message to deliver. It isn’t a fast or slow message. But the message he has for you is right on time.

He raps about what he knows. Moreover, the celebrity aka Professor educates listeners on a variety of topics. Some of his songs are entertaining and others are informative.

He doesn’t rap about living a hard knock life because he grew up living comfortably. You’ll find you don’t necessarily need wealth in order to be comfortable. But having a net worth of $18 million like Macklemore isn’t uncomfortable at all!

Right now, the rapper has emerged on the scene with more than just money in his pocket. He has lyrics in them that can spark a fuse. Songs such as: Kevin open people’s eyes to serious issues facing America and the world. He’s Not Afraid like Eminem to tell not only his story White Privilege, but also the stories of millions without a platform.

Macklemore represents Seattle better than some Senators. Respect Ryan Lewis too, because he contributes to creating that high quality content you receive. He reminds me a lot of Calvin Harris when it comes to collaborations.

Final thoughts, I like great hip hop music. Macklemore is one of my favorites because of his creative flow and timely lyrics. Macklemore definitely makes my top 10.

Why Drake Wins the Rap War

There should be a law requiring Rihanna and Drake to make songs together. Who wants to help circulate this petition? Every time I drive past the 10thintersection, someone plays Work on her radio. How many times must Drake sing you should get done and come over?
Drake changed everything with Hotline Bling. Even U.S. Presidential Candidate Donald Trump parodied Drake’s music video on Saturday Night Live. The Canadian rapper has attention from VIPs and that’s why he receives VIP perks. If there’s one celebrity you want in your squad he is Drake. Justin Bieber’s cool too, but Drake’s named after an international explorer.
In this day and age of Internet Explorer, news travels fast. Bad news is supersonic speed. The Toronto Raptors love their loyal Toronto rapper. In fact, Drake said, “All I care about is money and the city where I’m from…” Nowadays loyalty seems rare.
There’s too much short term thinking and not enough long term strategizing. You’ll enjoy this piece called Pitbull Vs. Drake RAP BATTLE. You see like Pitbull and Selena Gomez Drake is an international celebrity. He can go anywhere and be recognized. That’s why he needs bodyguards and top of the line security.
A lot of rappers fake their status. Drizzy doesn’t have to because those Forbes documents are solid. His endorsement deals compare favorably to prominent athletes. Like Kobe Bryant, he signed on the dotted line with Nike and Sprite.
What’s more, his place in music is undeniable. I feel Nicki Minaj is the best female rapper. And Drake is the best rapper right now. Yes, the rankings fluctuate depending on Kanye’s Twitter activity.
Finally, in the field of war battle losses are expected. Eminem was once a superpower for a long time. However, at this stage of the game Drake wins the Rap War. Why, you ask? Because I said so…that’s why.
