You have been living under a rock if you haven’t heard about the solar eclipse. Also, if you don’t know Halsey by now, allow me to introduce you to her. Halsey is music’s solar eclipse.

Her type of music talent comes around once every 99 years, Halsey was born in 1994 in Washington, New Jersey. Her name is a derivative of a Brooklyn street sign. It is also an anagram of her real name Ashley.

Halsey hasn’t always had it easy although she makes her work look effortless. She struggled at the beginning of her career. However, she didn’t give up and look at her now.

Halsey is music’s solar eclipse because her talent is rare. The Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and Beyonce are a thing of the past. Out of nowhere, Halsey comes and makes a way.

I feel like Halsey falls somewhere between Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande as far as fame. Make no mistake, she is getting more famous. She has a bright future ahead of her.

She wasn’t in Fifth Harmony or Little Mix, yet she has amassed as much star power as them. Halsey has sang duets with the Chainsmokers and Justin Bieber himself. It is amazing what she has accomplished in such a short span of time. Plus, she is only getting more famous and popular for the right reasons.

2016 AMAs Recap


Last year’s AMAs may have been the best ever. What’s better than the best? This year the AMAs tried to do the impossible and succeeded.

Hats off to Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharaoh for hosting. Hadid was hot as ever and Pharaoh was funny as hell. It was an interesting combination.

Plus, let’s acknowledge Bruno Mars’ grand entrance. Bruno Mars displayed master showmanship. You must have loved those incredible dance moves he stuck. He didn’t miss a beat. And he didn’t miss a note singing either.

Fans were treated to an amazing show. Fifth Harmony immediately grabbed everybody’s attention. They showed the world why they are the fabulous five last night.

The Weeknd made his triumph return. And it seemed like Drake took home every award imaginable. It was nice seeing fellow Canadians Justin Bieber (via Europe tour) and Shawn Mendes perform.


Niall Horan did his number. Lady Gaga did her thing. Robert Downey Jr. did a tribute to Sting.
You had all the Hollywood stars there.

One could argue Sunday night belonged to Green Day. Other big winners included Twenty One Pilots, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and the Chainsmokers. Talk about sensational. Twenty One Pilots turned the stage into an airplane.

What were your favorite moments from last night’s AMAs? Do you think Jennifer Lopez set the bar to high for the new hosts? Were you highly entertained or did you snooze away? What didn’t you like?

I think Shawn Mendes Treat You Better could have been better. It was just okay if I’m being honest. However, his Mercy performance was above average border lining great. I believe he was a bit nervous.

Overall, you can’t underestimate the entertainment value of the AMAs. From Lady Gaga to Sting, every performance had exceptional merit. We may not have liked everything but we can agree on some things. For one thing the AMAs were very entertaining.

Whether we’re exhausted or fully charged Mariah Carey serves our needs. Who doesn’t mind falling asleep and waking up to MC? How about setting the tone of your alarm clock to one of her songs right now?
Mariah Carey is my favorite singer for a personal reason. When I was 21, I would listen to Mariah’s music with this girl to the crack of dawn each weekend. I only mentioned how much she looked like the star and she told me how big of a fan she was. So we shared that and chilled together.
Mariah Carey’s song was not only my high school graduation class song but my brother’s as well. Mariah Carey is awesome. There’s no doubt about it.

Who can question the unquestionable? Who can deny the undeniable? Who can teach the unteachable?
Both Alicia Keys and Ariana Grande sing angelically. However, Mariah Carey has the voice of a goddess. The pureness of her sound is astounding.
What are your favorite Mariah Carey songs? I like We Belong Together, Don’t Forget About Us, and My All. Plus, I enjoy her Beautiful duet featuring Miguel.
The Fantasy songstress consistently creates so many number 1 hits that it seems unrealistic. How many records has she shattered? Who can claim they’ve reached Mariah Carey’s mountain of success musically and financially?

Grammy Award winning Best New Artist Meghan Trainor should meet with Mariah for coffee soon. Mariah Carey is much more than a veteran. She is a four star general of music. She could train Trainor and promote her to top rank.
I go straight to the source and don’t beat around the bush. I admire Carey’s kindness and sincerity. She serves everything on a silver platter. Whether we’re tired or wired, Mariah is always something to be admired.

You see hitting high notes requires superb skills. That’s why Ariana Grande’s throat is a treasure cove. Sometimes it seems her neck can’t bear all that pain, but she stretches to her breaking point like a disciplined yogi.
The 22 year old’s body might be pint-sized but she has a gigantic voice. Moreover, the Focus songstress is determined to become a legend. Right now I believe she is an elite entertainer with some room left to grow.

Fans flock to Ariana Grande concerts because they know she’s capable of being number 1. I’m sure you’re quite familiar with Disney princesses. Well, Ariana is a Nickelodeon princess. She was a teenage star on the VictoriousTV show before becoming a superstar.
Although she’s only in her 20s, Ariana Grande has accumulated tremendous experience. I predict the pop princess will create numerous chart-topping hits in the foreseeable future. Music has never been more commercialized. I see this trend working in Ariana Grande’s favor- not because her lyrics are catchy- but because she is the prototypic dreamgirl. In other words, she delivers, baby!

Ariana Grande’s popularity is soaring. With 55.2 million Instagram followers and counting, it’s hard to tell her what to do. Still, everybody should listen to constructive criticism.

What If Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande Sang Duets Together

Can you picture Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande singing duets together? You know Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars have taken music to a higher level. They’re on top of the totem pole.
Plus, they bring youthful energy to every song. That’s why their YouTube channels generate billions of views. What is more, the singers make music everyone can listen to.
It’s amazing how they control their pitch and tone. I would like Ariana Grande to voice my GPS. And Bruno Mars will sing my theme music.
These singers are in another stratosphere. Every girl loves hearing ‘Just the Way You Are’ because it’s perfect! Also, I have no problem with the way the ‘Problem’ musician sings.

As great as the Weeknd is, he’s no Bruno Mars. Replace the Weeknd’s part on ‘Love Me Harder’ with a Bruno Mars version. Wow, wouldn’t that be incredible?
You see, the musicians have built fortresses for  fan bases. Musically, there is hardly anybody better than them, which is scary because they’re neither one is even 30 years old. In fact, Ariana hasn’t turned 25 yet.
Something tells me Ariana Grande will get her chance to perform at the Super Bowl like Bruno Mars . It wouldn’t surprise me if she does the National Anthem and Half Time show, numerous times in her career.

It takes me 3 days to get Bruno’s songs out my brain. So, I listen to his music once about every 4 days. I’m convinced Bruno Mars is capable of brainwashing the masses.
Moreover, the whole world likes these music artists mainly because of their modesty. It seems like they’re unaware of their effect on people’s eardrums. Or maybe, it’s all an illusion.
One thing I do know is after Ariana Grande hits 3 high notes, she’s got you hooked. There’s no denying that she makes addicting music. Fans can’t wait until she goes on tour again.
Fans feel the same way about Bruno Mars. Who serenades better than the Hawaiian? Let’s get the Bruno Mars/Ariana Grande duet campaign officially started.
